Summary: Spacey Is The Greatest
Review: this film is quite simple: there's a serial killer that kills his victims--who each commit one of the seven deadly sins--as an act for God. brad pitt and morgan freeman have to find him...and then some.
the entire flim is great. all of the editing, musical score, acting, script, camera work--you name it, and this movie's got it. the one thing this movie has that shines the most? kevin spacey. spacey is one of the greatest actors ever. he can take on any part and make it work. since you probably already know this, i'll mention that kevin spacey plays the part of the killer unofficially named "JOhn Doe"(which we only get to see in the latter parts of the movie). if i may say, he is possibly the best realistic killer that the film industry has given us. and of course, he's got everything planned out with his master mind! this film is not as gory as i had heard, but between the gore it does have and the language, it earned the R rating. for those of you who haven't seen it, i won't give the ending away, but trust me, its well worth the wait. "John Doe" is such a well-crafted character. he's not a slasher-type, so don't be expecting this film to give you alot of killing. this film relies much more on suspense and the wonderful acting of spacey (for what parts he is in there). slasher fans shouldn't flock to this one--that's not what the film is about. but if you enjoy the twisted and delusional minds of serial killers with a cause, then you'll love this movie.

Summary: Wonderful Thriller
Review: This is one of my all time favorite movies. From the camera work to the musical score, everything is just right on track. To me the most original part of the movie is that it never shows people actually being killed, the viewer only sees what the killer left behind; chilling! I won't sit here like some people and say "the gore is awesome!" or "I wanted to see more killing!" because to see people say that is freaky. There is a pretty decent bit of gore in this movie; only when its necessary to show just how crazy the killer is and to what lengths he will go.

Pitt is a great actor and what more can I say about Morgan Freeman? The man is a genius. Paltrow's character could have been a bit underused but she was still great as well. David Fincher really did a beautiful job with this film; he really shows how sick this world can be and the things that we learn to accept day in and day out. This is a great movie to watch by yourself or w/ a girlfriend...maybe.

Beautiful Film!
