Summary: How could you not like this movie
Review: This is one of the most fun movies I have ever seen. It has everything I need. Heat, murder, comedy, and there is an element of fantasy that makes me want to see this movie when I want to escape. Buy It!!!

Make more movies like this one Hollywood. And make more in Florida. It's just better that California.

Summary: You'll be disappointed
Review: This movie has the requisite moods and plot for a film noir. But what a lousy and unsatisfying ending. Also, it's a terrible waste of acting talent to cast Gina Gershon in the limited and tiring role of a faithful girlfriend.

Summary: If you like Elizabeth Shue, Go for it!
Review: This movie is O.K. I thought, not either of the actors best movie, Gina Gershon plays a good girl for once and is actually very believable, Elizabeth Shue, does a pretty good job ( I don't want to ruin it if you haven't watched it yet), and is very seductive. If your into mysteries and like watching them more than once even though you know *whodunnit* I recommend it. Otherwise, rent it first.

Summary: Mmmm... Film Noir!
Review: Well some people never learn... In this film a reporter gets released from jail after being set up by corrupt government. He then runs into a rich wife looking for someone to help her and her step daughter stage a kidnapping to get money from her husband. This is a really good dark film. I love a good movie that you can never tell who's messing with who! Elizabeth Shue makes a great femme fatale. Beautiful setting! Because its in Palmetto, Florida, I love to watch this film on a sultry summer night.

Then by chance, he runs into a rich wife looking for someone to help her and her step daughter stage a kidnapping to get money from her husband. But things, of course, aren't always what they seem. This is a really good dark film. I love a good movie that you can never tell who's messing with who! Elizabeth Shue makes a great femme fatale. Summary: A film noir that completely baffles the viewer
Review: Woody (a brother of mine from Sigma Chi) seemingly unerwhelms the audience along with all the other actors in this feature. Those who like Film noir along the lines of Bogart's movies, or even more contemporary features like L.A. Confidential, Wild Things, and others, will enjoy this. I couldn't help but be more and more impressed upon repeat viewings by the low-key or deliberately understated performances by the Woody, Elisabeth Shue, Gina Gershon, and others. Don't go into this looking to be dazzled, it is a cerebral and intelligent dark drama.
