Summary: The Changeling
Review: This film is the mother of all haunted house movies! It scared the pants off of me when I was a kid and it still does 20 years later! Never have I seen a film that comes close to matching the suspense and downright terror(without all the excessive blood and guts of today's horror films) that "The Changeling" instills in you as you watch it. The seance scene will have you crouching down in the couch and maybe even hiding under a blanket! Definite lights on in the house after you watch this film. I highly recommend this fright fest for a good night of chills!

Summary: The Standard for all Horror Movies
Review: When you sit down to a horror movie today, you're more afraid of feeling sick because of the excessive blood, and pouring guts. When I sat down to see the changling I was ready for a laugh. I was quite surprised. The way the movie progressed, the dark chilling scenes, the creepy music, and the atmospherics were enough for me to to turn on a light. When the movie was finished, I could not move. I got up and turned on all the lights on in the house, and couldn't sleep that night. If you want a movie that you'll remember the rest of your life this is the movie. I'm sad to see it's not more popular, than it is. I hope to see it released on to DVD someday.

Review: I Hired this thinking it would be another old dodgy film. It absolutely scared me senseless! I love the atmosphere and especially the sceen with the psychic writing the messages down on paper (automatic writing). This is the BEST haunted house film ever made. You WILL be scared if you watch this. WARING! It will give you the creeps...

Summary: Very disturbing movie
Review: If you want to be genuinely scared, this is the movie for you. It's not like modern horror movies which rely too much on cheesy special effects and gratuitous violence. The Changeling relies on a well-written plot and a dark ambiance (I sometimes wonder if this movie wasn't lit with bedroom lamps instead of studio lights). It was made on a shoestring budget of $6 million, but with its creepy atmosphere and murder mystery-style story, not to mention a sterling cast (George C. Scott and Melvyn Douglas) it overcomes any obstacles and should be remembered alongside other creepy movies such as The Haunting.I saw this movie the first time when I was about 7 and had problems being alone in the dark for quite a long time after. I slept with a nightlight until I was almost 12 just because of this movie. I think I also suffered a bout of mild depression because of the somber nature of the movie. I sometimes still dream I'm in that haunted house and I know the ghost of that murdered child is in it with me. No other movie has ever affected me this way. I would definetely recommend against letting young children view this movie.

Summary: A truly scary movie
Review: I saw "The Changeling" for the 1st time in the movie theater when I was 12. It still scares me as much today as it did then! A lot of people mention the seance scene and the bouncing ball which I agree were pretty chilling, but what really got to me was the WHEELCHAIR! That old wheelchair gave me the shivers. I have the movie on tape and after watching it, I half expect to see the wheelchair sitting at the top of my stairway or moving down the hall... I wish they made more movies like this. The subtle creepiness as George C. Scott slowly realizes something's trying to make contact is much more effective than the average slasher pic! I hope this comes out on DVD someday.

Review: I get it every year at my parties and it still scares me! It is very well planned out and not like the horror movies today! It is not predictable nor is there a killing every ten seconds! I would definately recommend it!

Review: Never have I seen such a thoroughly frightening and suspensful movie such as this. I adore horror movies to bits, but this is in a league of its own. My mother and I caught this during early morning hours and sat there too frozen and scared to move an inch during and after the movie due to its very real content. This is not your average horror movie that relies on gore and decaptiated bodies. A truly magnificent film that will chill any generation of viewers.

Review: This movie was very good. Unlike many horror movies today, it had a very well thought out, intricate, and exciting plot. Some parts of it were very frightening. The beginning is a little slow, but as the movie picks up pace, it draws you in and it becomes very suspenseful. I would definitely recommend it.
