Rating: Summary: Very Well Done Horror Film! Review: In this very scary flick, George C. Scott plays a man who buys an antique mansion after the death of his wife and daughter. He discovers the houses' frightning past soon enough, however, and with the help of Trish Van Devere he trys to clear up the houses' dark past. Wonderful acting and clever direction make this one a winner!
Rating: Summary: Classic Ghost Story Review: The Changeling is my favorite ghost story. There is no blood and gore involved. There are a few violent scenes. Language is mild. Expect the hair on the back of your neck to be constantly standing on end. The most memorable scene from this movie is with the wheelchair that chases the woman down the stairway. The close runner up would be the wet ball that bounces down the stairs. (VERY FEW RENTAL PLACES CARRY THIS MOVIE)
Rating: Summary: Goosebumps Review: This is the scariest movie I have ever seen (except maybe for "Poltergeist"). It gives me the creeping heebie-jeebies every time I see it and I can't stop recommending it to my friends. There's no blood or gore, no monster waiting in the closet, just an old house filled with terrible memories that won't fade and a man (George C. Scott) who can't leave the mystery alone. One of my closest friends once told me she was alone in her house one night and all of a sudden felt a cold clammy hand squeezing the back of her neck. She whipped her head around, but there was no one there. That's exactly what kind of scary this movie is.
Rating: Summary: S C A R Y M O V I E Review: In this movie a man's wife and daughter are killed in an accident. The man movies into a mansion and soon strange things start to happen. A rock is thrown out of a window, and when the man goes to investigate the room has been boarded up for a long time. Also, a wheelchair rolls around the place and stuff. Uh huh.

Rating: Summary: This one will SCARE YOU! Review: I remember how this movie made both my date and I jump when seeing it when it came out in 79, and it still has the same affect today. It doesn't rely on huge special effects like todays movie do, instead it goes for the "made you jump" tacktick of realy scary moments that make you think twice.(the bouncing ball down the stairs is one of the scariest moments I've ever seen on film) I've seen and own a huge number of horror/scary films over the years, and this one is still one of my top 3. See it. I know you won't be dissapointed..
Rating: Summary: CREEPINGLY BRILLIANT! Review: This is an excellent example of how horror should be made, a strong plot with well defined characters a chilling tale that immerses use deeply in this haunted house classic! George C Scott gives a soulful performance of a man trying to come to grips with the tragic loss of his wife and child, he finds solitude and hopefully peace when he moves into an old Washington mansion. He discovers instead the prescence of a child long dead needing help to finally be put to rest. Certainly not a slasher flick, or a gore splatter comedy, but an intelligent horror that gives you more than just screams and a cheap thrill! To those who thought Blair Witch was scarey, you will soon change your mind after watching this brilliant class act! Highly Recommended.
Rating: Summary: Scott Shines in the Spooky Chiller Review: The Changeling is a total classic. Scott gives one of the best performances of his great career as a widower who moves into a haunted house. The spirit in this film is very very scary. There are sequences that will send chills down your spine, a flaming empty wheelchair careens down a staircase, a ghostly seance....The film is also a mystery as Scott tries to unravel the secrets in his house. This is one you'll want for your collection, don't rent it, buy it before it goes out of print.
