Summary: (the original) Tub Thumping
Review: I've only seen this movie twice: The first time I watched it on TV with my mom, or she rented it. I guess I was about 12. Mom always digs the scary ones. The second time I saw it, it was because I was at the video store with some friends and I happened across it. "We must rent this", I told them. They asked, "What is it?" I told them, "We must rent this." They said, "It looks too old." I said, "We must rent this...and you will all love it." I think I was 19. We rented it. They all loved it. Now, I'm 28 and wandering around [...] and looky here, it's coming out on DVD. To be perfectly honest, I don't remember too much about the movie itself; just some images (the opening scene, the house, the tub, the music box) and the creeeepy tone. However, I do know that this movie made a mark on me. Twice. Cool.

Review: I was tring to find a horror movie that really scared me. I've seen about everything and have only found a couple that actually make me shiver. I read the other reviews for this movie, so I thought I'd take a chance. I am so glad I did. This movie is TRUELY scary. There were times I thought I was going to have to stop the dvd because I was too scared to watch. Buy this movie, you won't be sorry. My very favorite horror movie ever!

Summary: A frightening ghost story in the classic fashion!
Review: "The Changeling" took me by surprise. Not only is it a chilling, contemporary ghost story, the film contains one of George C. Scott's most effective performances. Despondent after the loss of his wife and only child (in an accident), Scott relocates to Washington State, where he will teach music at the local university. He rents a gorgeous, sprawling home, and that's when the mystery begins. He's awoken one morning by the sound of pounding, echoing throughout the house. What the source is, and how Scott comes to unravel its secret will have you sitting with the lights on--in the middle of the day! Not for the faint of heart! I loved it!

Summary: Old man, old house, good old fashioned plot.
Review: This movie is about an old man who rents an old house and when (weird) things start happening, he doesn't leave. This movie is good if you don't mind missing special effects or gory blood slashing. For this price, it's worth it. Good entertainment and suspense.

Review: You think you've been scared by movies before? Leave all those slasher movies behind. This is one totally creeped-out movie! I get goose-bumps just thinking about it! George C. Scott is fabulous. No blood or gore needed here. Just great acting and a truly creepy story. Very engrossing. This one will be on your mind for days after you view it.

Review: I've waited twenty-two years to see this movie and experience the suspense. Since 1979!!!! Only my sister got to see it with my aunt. I knew then that this movie was highly acclaimed at that time. Now I've finally had my chance and I can't wait to share it with the whole family and get them scared out of their wits. To all you horror movie fans out there.. if you think you've seen it all, you ain't seen nothing yet!! You'd be telling yourself, "Don't go up the attic!!" And check out the chasing wheelchair. My heart pounded madly.

Summary: This movie is a lost gem
Review: I saw the Changeling for the first time when I was just 11 years old. And till this day it has to be the scarieast movie I have ever seem. It still gives me goosebumps after so many years. This is what scary movies today have lost. I have been telling people about this movie for years. You'll never look at a wheelchair the same again...

Review: The changeling is easily one of the scariest movies of all time.The houses atmosphere is unreal.The music is downight sinister.The seance scene is horrifying.The scene when George C. Scott plays back his recorder is guaranteed to send a shiver down you're spine.I can't give everything away.With great acting all around and plenty of terrific scares I consider this one of the top horror movies ever.Truly scary.

Summary: Really Cool Turn the Lights off Movie
Review: Welcome to the Changeling. I just picked up this dvd and watched it for the first time last night. I had a couple friends over, turned the lights off and put it on not knowing what really to expect as I picked it up on a whim. Let me tell you that this movie is great! It is one of the spookiest movies I have ever seen. It is not gory in any way, but the scare factor is much higher than any of the nightmare on elms or friday the 13ths or any of that stuff. The Changeling has a great story line, great acting and an all around eerie feel. Including the camera work and soundtrack to boot. The only reason I didn't give this dvd 5 stars is due to the lack of extras and the audio leaves something to be desired. (its bearable but you will have to turn your tv up a little) But all in all, this a great movie. I highly recommend you pick it up if you want a truly spooky movie.

Summary: A real Piece of Art
Review: The Changeling is truly one of the best movies on the pychological way. We live in a time when the horror movies, are just a bunch of teenagers, and lots of blood. But, this movie doesn't abuse of good looking actors or galons of fake blood, but this movie, scares you more than all the scream-like movies together. This movie show the life of a musician who ends up living in a house, where... well, you better watch it yourself, because, it really worth it. The subtitles in French, Spanish and English are very good. They don't translate the things wrong (as i have seen in other DVD's).
