Summary: My VCR is still smoking!
Review: If you like dancing this is a video you must have. The costumes are wonderful exceeded only by the excellent dancing. I dare you to sit still all the way through this. A variety of styles that will suit everyone. Be forewarned though, the finale may cause spontaneous combustion!!

Summary: A review from a BTF dancer
Review: Okay, so the video might not be great, but I'll tell you one thing, we dancers worked our butts off in that show, and the audience loved it. I agree that the lighting was a bit much, and the video cuts make it so that you can't really enjoy the dancing, but it is damned good dancing, and it was directed by one of the best directors in the history of theater, Anthony Van Laast. Not only is he one of the best directors, but one of the nicest, sweetest people I know. If you want to criticize this video, the video itself deserves criticism, but not the dancing or the direction. And I may be biased, but I don't find this video to be a complete waste of time and money...

Summary: Sizzling, Sexy, Sensational, Saucy
Review: Take the world's best dancing couples from 16 countries with the energy of 44 dancers, 618 brilliant costumes, 342 shoes, highly choreographed heels clickin' and hips swayin' and you have Burn The Floor!

Captured on film, you will see jumpin, jivin, jitterbug, swing, Lindy Hop, waltz, mambo, salsa, tango, flamenco, cha cha, and sexy hot, sweaty ballroom with rock and roll.

This concept of this $10 million extravaganza was conceived at the 50th birthday of Elton John in 1997. It is said that the crowd went wild. The seed was born. You won't see better performers than here. They are young, and they are fast, with ballroom expertise magnified like never before. To watch these phenomenal dancers in such amazing costumes cover a time or a place that is nostalgic or with a high tech twist. It's these numerous costumes that highlight top of the line choreography of director Jason Gilkson, Australia's premier World Championship dancer. It is said these group of best dancers are from around the world while none from the United States.

From "In the Mood" "Jump, Jive and Wail" to top hat and tails and dance to Irving Berlin, salsa your way to Latin sizzle, you will see the best as these dancers all take stage together it is a nostalgic trip complete with poodle skirts, zoot suits, navy suits, petticoats and pig tails and plenty of polka dots, it visually takes you to this Big Band era.

That Hot Sexy Finale, Wow!
To see the finale is worth the price of the videotape. This is called the all-white costume set with a mixture of dances from a cowboy salsa, snappy jazz, contemporary and back to the jump, jive and wail. It is fast with great sound, high steps, kicks, spins, and just great dancing.

Summary: Headache City!
Review: The dancing is superb! The lighting is terrible for a video (it may be fine for a live performance). The constant changes of camera angle made me think the director has the attention span of a gnat. For such excellent content, it is a shame. I received a headache from watching it. It is worse than Lord of the Dance, if that's possible.

Summary: Ballroom dancing with MTV attitude
Review: The dancing was superb of course. And the editing was great. Sure it changes angles every like 3 seconds but that's why it looks so cool. It's like a music video. When I first saw the video I was blown away by the dancing but then I exclaimed, "Who did the editing? It's totally awesome! I gotta get this guys name. It looks so cool!"

Summary: Does not burn the floor
Review: There was evidently a misconception among the technical people and the performers on this video. The lighting manager thought the video was about lighting, while the stupid dancers thought it was about dancing. The lighting manager won. Only about 20 percent of the activity of this show was viewable, thanks to the lighting effects. Don't waste your time or money on this one. This was a good idea gone wrong.

Summary: Very entertaining!
Review: This caught my eye on televison... It will make you even more happier to own it on video. The dancing is fantastic and not one faulse move. Any generation will love it for being so modern yet so classic! Just the music alone is worh buying !

Summary: This is not ballroom
Review: This is ballet with some elements of partner dancing incorporated in. The only part that could be useful for a ballroom dancer is the Jive number. The rest is pure ballet.
