Summary: It can be better
Review: Diana Krall will always be Diana Krall. Smooth as a silk voice. Impeccable and just right. She looks good too. I know some people will not agree on her being a great jazz performer but I like her. However, this DVD is badly made. Whoever mastered the sound for DTS and Dolby must be confused. The idea is to put you, the listener as a member of the audience listening in front of the performer. What is the piano doing on my right surround speaker? Some songs she sounds clear and too closely miked and in some songs she sounds singing 3 feet away from the micropohone. Bad sound mastering of what should be a great performance. It messed up the artist and the meticulous preparation they put into it.

Summary: Oui La La - Krall in Paris
Review: I bought the tape some months ago, played it once and then again recently to make sure what I heard was what I saw. Although it may sound crazy, but in addition to some good solid jazz, I was captivated by the Parisian audience. Parisians are sophisticated jazz fans and have clubs all over Paris. I've been there. They know good jazz when they hear it. So, as you listen and watch, take note of the reaction of the audience to certain tunes. Not only does the audience display their affection for Diana Krall and her music, but they know their jazz, and seem to applaud at all the right times, including after solos by Diana and her trio. When is the last time you heard American audiences applaud individual artists? Not often enough. In my day, seeing and hearing Dizzy, The Bird, Theolonius Monk, Oscar Peterson, Dave Brubeck, etc. their vituosity was rewarded with recognitions of applause when they deserved it. As Diana weaves her way through the concert, the thing that struck me as something most fans take for granted is her musicality. She is a professionally trained musican, and it shows, because, she really knows how to play jazz on the piano. However, more credit is given to her voice which in my opinion is not her strong suit. Her unique style is a function of her phrasing and timing. These are things you cannot teach. So, listen to the CD, but buy the tape. You will be rewarded with a front seat in a great concert by one of the best - Diana Krall.

Summary: The absolute Coolest!
Review: I had never heard of Diana Krall til a late night commercial for her Live In Paris cd...WOW! This woman is one cool chick. Where have I been? I have now been listening to 2 of her other cds at work all day and then this dvd at home by the fire with a glass of wine. The only thing better would have to be to have been there Live in Paris!

Summary: Bam! A knockout DVD
Review: Put together the incomparable talents of Diana Krall, the backing of great musicians and a symphony with the wonders of DTS sound and you've got a disc to marvel over. You get a good long set with Ms. Krall in fine form. Mostly concert footage with good tight camera work. You also get some inserts of shots around Paris- nothing touristy. If you are at all a fan (of Krall or jazz in general), this is a no-brainer.

Review: As my Title implies, this DVD seduces your senses from the first song until the last, where Diana sings "A case of you". Diana takes you through all your love affairs, hearthaces, and new beginnings with a fluid river-like feeling through your whole existence in one concert. Absolutely Amazing......

Summary: Live in Paris
Review: I purchased this DVD just a few weeks ago after reading a review from another Diana Krall fan. Best money I have ever spent. I became a Diana Krall fan about one year ago, and I cannot get enough of her. Ms. Krall indeed has the entire package. The manner in which she carries herself while performing only adds to her amazing vocal & piano skills. I noticed that the CD release to "Live in Paris" will be released in October. I am putting my order in now.

this is an absolute jem! this lady rocks!
reccomended!btw, i thoght i'll get to like jazz through this dvd, but, hey, no chance!... this is not my cup of tea-music.
