Summary: "La Luna" takes you to the moon and back....
Review: I don't know what Angel Records was thinking when they released the VHS version of the La Luna concert. Five songs were missing, the songs were presented out of order, and the sound quality was sorely lacking. But with the release of the La Luna DVD Sarah Brightman fans are treated to the complete concert version of La Luna, as well as over 90 minutes of extras such as a tour map, backstage footage, interviews, and the music video for "A Whiter Shade of Pale." Sarah's innovative staging, crystalline voice and gorgeous costumes are captured brilliantly on this DVD.

Summary: Very Good
Review: Overall, a very good dvd with excellent visual effects. The phantom suite from the Andrew Lloyd Weber concert is better though. The song from the Moody Blues is very good. A good dvd for the collection.

Summary: Sarah Brightman Fans - You won't be disappointed!
Review: Watched the La Luna concert DVD three times last weekend. It was great! I heard the VHS version is not very good with bad editing and inferior sound quality. Rest assured that the DVD treatment of Ms. Brightman's latest concert tour is magnificent. Sarah's performance was out of this world. She truly is the "angel of music"!

My favorite tracks were "Winter Shade of Pale", "Nessun Dorma", "Moon River", and the spectacular "A Question of Honour". I also enjoyed the bonus materials very much. It's nice to see Sarah's behind the scenes stuff. Not only is she a great singer and performer, Sarah is also a sweet and down-to-earth person. How many stars actually sign autographs and take pictures after their shows? Sarah did! I am anxiously waiting for her next CD and tour!

The sound quality of the DVD is breathtaking. Dolby Digital 5.1 or DTS Digital Surrond. Wow! Furthermore, it's wonderful that you can turn on the on-screen lyrics. Nice touch. The only thing I would love in the future will be some interactive DVD content that can be played in the DVD-ROM of a computer, e.g. screen savers, photo gallery, web links, etc.

In closing, this is a must buy DVD for any Sarah Brightman fan. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Summary: Angel of Music (A Voice From Heaven)
Review: She is truely the very best female singer out there. You will not be disappointed in buying this dvd. There isn't anymore that I can say except she is the best of the best. The best male singer out there, Josh Groban, is also on this dvd, so that two thumbs up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: The BEST!
Review: There's not much more I can say, but that I thoroughly enjoyed this concert very much. The day I got it, I played it 4 times straight through, then spent another hour and a half through the extras (in what other concert DVD will you find one and a half hours worth of extras??? None, La Luna is such a great DVD!)

Sarah Brightman is in excellent voice in this concert in Florida, and she has great stage presence. Her movements are very graceful and fit the songs well, and her dancers do a great job as well. The setting of the stage is brilliant and makes one feel the "moon" atmosphere Sarah wants the audience to perceive (similar to but better than the red theme of the "One Night in Eden" concert). There's even a globe in the front of the stage, as if the stage Sarah is performing on is the moon.

If you love Sarah's voice, see her at her best, performing live! This DVD is a must!

Summary: Her voice alone is worth four stars. Unfortunately....
Review: I know I'm going to alienate every Sarah Brightman fan on the planet, but I have to say it. Her voice alone is worth four stars. Unfortunately, that is the way I prefer to enjoy this dvd... I can't stand to watch her. And, no, I don't want her to put on a "Cher-like" performance. I would no doubt give Ms. Brightman numerous "standing O's" in a production of La Boheme or Madama Butterfly. I just can't handle watching her in this dvd. If you enjoy watching her, then this is a screaming buy. And go ahead and give her the other star.

Summary: Excellent Music and Performance
Review: Sarah Brightman may be better known to the world for her performances in Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals (particularly as Christine in Phantom of the Opera), but her vocal talents stand much broader than just show tunes.

La Luna is Sarah's most recent album of contemporary musical artistry, and the DVD version of her La Luna concert is an outstanding performance of the music from that album and many of her earlier works as well.

The DVD offers a number of audio format options, including DTS, Dolby 5.1 / AC-3, and PCM. The extra features included are similarly ample, including subtitled lyrics, a behind the scenes featurette, a music video, and more. The only complaint viewers may have regards the appearance in places of MPEG compression artifacts in the video; one may wonder if perhaps offering such a wide selection of sound formats slightly compromised the video encoding. However, said artifacts are not noticable to the average viewer and shouldn't detract from this outstanding performance.

Summary: The angel
Review: I wasn't a Sarah Brightman fan until I heard her singing the famous classical rock " A whiter Shade Of Pale " of Procol Harum. I was realy impressed by her voice and her style, and since then I considered her one of the most respectable voices I've ever heard. On the DVD La Luna, she looked and performed great. The sound of the DVD is crispy clear, and the picture also is excellent. Also many extra features are included like interviews, back stage footage, etc.. I recommend this DVD for all Sarah Brightman's fans, and for all who have a serious classical music taste.
