Rating: Summary: Terrible ! Not the music I expected. Review: Very disappointing. The music was not from the Weber version--"Music of the Night" was not even included! Very poor music! None of the songs from the play I had expected.
Rating: Summary: Disappointing Review: If you have dreams about watching Andrew Lloyd Webber's "The phantom of the Opera" or something close to that, do not even attempt to buy this one, because you will be shocked and dissapointed by how the producers turned a fantastic story (which could have been a fantastic movie also)into something so bad. Especially the music is so disappointing and ear-scratching after the Weber version.
Rating: Summary: ONE SEXY PHANTOM Review: David Staller's attempt to seduce Christine in this live play SEDUCES ME each time I see it! His voice, his stance, his arrogance, his eyes, his golden curls, r sooo sexy to this Phantom Phan. Sure, some moments of action were silly, even malpracticed. Eric's rejection scene didn't touch my heart. And his face was NOT ghastly. But, his lips (the perfect side) look like they r begging to be kissed. The song, "Perfect Music, Perfect Love", is a sensual masterpiece.
Rating: Summary: exceptionel Review: Only one word: exceptione
Rating: Summary: THE BEST PLAY THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN Review: THIS PLAY WAS EXCELLENT. THE MUSIC WAS BEAUTIFUL AND THE CAST AND CHARACTERS WERE VERY TALENTED ON THE STAGE. SOME SCENES WERE VERY REALISTIC. THIS PLAY REALLY BRINGS OUT THE EMOTIONS OF THE PHANTOM AND CHRISTINE.
Rating: Summary: No comparison to Lloyd Webber or Kopit/Yeston, but... Review: I did like the Phantom. He was played well by David Staller, and had an exceptional voice. However the story and the rest of the characters lacked everything good and what was needed to put forth a truly great show. I also did not like how mellow it was. The Phantom of the Opera is a horror, a romance, a thriller. This was just a story. Also the ending was very disappointing. However, as a desperate and obsessive Phantom Phan, this is a must for collectors. But only because the Phantom was well-played.
Rating: Summary: Dissapointed Review: This was completely different from what I have expected. It cannot be a musical but a drama with music.
Rating: Summary: Terrible Review: Seriously, I can't even compare this video to Webber's version. There are only two song in it that's entertaining, and one of them come from MAGIC FLUTE. Crazy video with terrible cast of Christine and Phantom.
Rating: Summary: Save your money Review: My fault I should have read the reviews, I thought it was Weber's version. This is not even worth one star. Shame on Amazon for selling such a poor product. I have seen a high school version that would put this to shame. Maybe someone from Amazon should read the reviews.
Rating: Summary: I'm truly disappointed Review: First, it's the Lloyd Webber version that I was looking for and - unless you're a Broadway usual spectator - one is not supposed to know there's a second version (and I'm tempted to say an imitation). I'm quite furious really to discover on delivery that it is not THE Phantom I expected. Could you not have said that in the description ?OK, there are 2 or 3 tunes that sound good. Actors are doing a fine performance. But, honestly, in comparison with the exerp in A. Lloyd Webber's Premiere, this Phantom looks pale, very pale.
