Summary: Great Movie
Review: Haha, half of you are throwing reviews out about this movie and you haven't even seen it. I don't know about Glitter or any of those other movies, but I thought this one was definetly okay. All through the movie, you have Eminem and he can act, whether he's just being himself or not, he has definite presence. The ending is very climactic. Yeah, there's more to Eminem than just a powerful voice and great lyrics.

Summary: Eminem is a stud muffin
Review: That's all I have to say, even after hating the hype that revolved around him. After watching a few things on him I feel a bit, well interested and maybe attracted. I was offended at first about the movie.
I love 8 Mile. I knew I would love the movie. I didn't see the trailers or listen to the songs. Just one look at the thing on MTV drew my attention closer, " I think this will be like Purple Rain. " It most certainly has the same feel. After watching the movie, I definately think this may be up for an Oscar nomination. Anyone aware that Purple Rain got Oscar nominations and Prince got one for the music? I know I'm going to watch 8 Mile again and again and will most likely buy this movie!
Synopsis: Young white rapper trying to make it in a black community. He lives with his alcoholic mom in a trailer court after being dumped by his girlfriend after she discovers she is pregnant.
I am not a fan, but I sure love this movie!

Summary: A"Mile" worth walking
Review: Who knew that Eminem had the talent to lead a movie? Obviously director Curtis Hanson, Producer Brian Grazer and the people at Universal Pictures thought so, and they were right. He is outstanding in this film. I was genuinely suprised by this movie. I had no idea that it would be as good as it was. The acting was great, the artfully done direction by the brilliant Curtis Hanson was terrific and the story isn't half bad either. It follows Jimmy Smith Jr.(Eminem) through a week of his life living in Detroit and how he seeks his dream of becoming a famous rapper by entering contests and trying everything he's got to succeed. I don't want to tell you too much more about the film, but I do want to mention that the rapping contest scenes are incredible. I haven't seen many scenes like them before and everyone does a fabulous job, especially Eminem, who blew me away. He's awesome. I do want to mention that this film may not appeal to everyone, but you still might want to check it out anyway because it is good.

Summary: HE's on a roll. 8 mile, a can't miss.Listen up eminem addict
Review: I have read so much about this movie! Eminem is playing a boy called Jimmy, also known as rabbit. Eminem is in his adolesent years in Detroit with his mom (Sephanie, played by Kim someone.)
Eminem's daughter is also played by an actress. This movie is of resemblense to Eminem's life as a teenager, hanging out with black guys, dreaming of becoming a rapper. Going on stage, getting beatin up, getting fired from a pizza a parlor and start working at a mail factory.
A MUST SEE, EGNOR THE RATING, THIS MOVIE IS FOR EVERYONE!

Summary: Best Film of 2002
Review: I did not expect to like 8 Mile as much as I did. It reminded me of the way I felt after seeing "Rocky," "Boys In the Hood," and "Saturday Night Fever" in that it gave cultural context to a phenomenon. In this case, rap. Marshall Mathers is a natural movie star. I hope he's ready for the popular acclaim that will come his way, and that it does not subdue his anger, his edge and his genuius for voicing the angst of the underclass. He's iconic. It's a great movie. Elvis is reborn!

Summary: I just can't wait...
Review: I really just can't wait to see this movie. From the reviews and the trailer, it looked so good. As a huge Eminem fan, I really can't wait!! He looks like he made a really good performance. Everyone should go and see it.

Summary: Eminem impresses even a non-fan
Review: After believing that Eminem's 15 minutes were up about two years ago, I was incredibly impressed to see just how good his performance was in 8 MILE. Being the only person on the planet that doesn't like his music, I thought that the only place that 8 MILE was headed was a Dead End. I stand corrected. Not only was the film extremely well acted, but it is very entertaining, as well. It takes a bit to get used to the street lingo, but I think fans will have a field day with it, nonetheless. As for whether or not you should bring the kids, DON'T! Three sex scenes, a few fist fights, one shooting, and all the foul language that you have come to expect from Eminem. The only nudity, however, is Eminem's rear. (That should sell a couple tickets, as is!) Although definitely not a film for everyone, the film showcases a new talent for Eminem that many will enjoy. The film is clever and fun. I will certainly be looking forward to his next project, and prefer it be a movie as opposed to a CD.

Summary: eminem goes to the movies
Review: I've seen both trailers for this movie. the first made me anxious for this film, and for Em's album 'The Eminem Show', once the second trailer yet, I KNEW that Wild Horses are not gonna keep me from seeing this film. the movie obviously is sem-autobiographical, which is great, and anyone that thinks that this is just a way to cash in on Em's popularity, much like how Vanilla Ice did with 'Cool as Ice' should have their heads examined. if you're a Eminem fan, go see this film, even if you're not a fan and you want to see a good dramatic, inspirational type of film, go see this movie. what would really be the kicker is if this movie got nominated at the Oscars, that would REALLY drive people nuts.

Summary: Inspirational!
Review: Seing the trailers for this film, I though to myself "I will never, never ever see this movie." I was taken to it by a friend, and much to my surprise, it was very dramatic, non-commecial, and entertaining; this is one of the best film released this month. See it. See it again. Bryan Grazer, producer of A Beautiful Mind, L.A. Confedential, and Apollo 13, produces this film that I'm going to see again. I know that it looks awful in trailers, but "give it an oppurtunity."

Summary: I'll grab the mic and I'll damage ya
Review: Not sure why so many people are dissing this movie based on the trailer, but that's wack 'cause this one is really entertaining. Got to see it opening night at the Toronto film festival and lets just say it brought people out of their seats on more than one occasion. Anyone who liked the movie "Juice" should probably check "8 Mile" out. If you're still not convinced, go to the movies on cheap night (it hits theatres November 8th or wait for its video release. Certainly, this one is going to fall into its niche and show quite a return for the siply fact that, as Mr. Hanson said himself, "everyone seems to be interested in seeing that Eminem movie."
