Summary: this movie is joyful, but at the same time devestating!
Review: this movie shows how life should be, with family, doing what you want in life, and being successful. if the Quintinilla family or the directer who was trying to make a tribute to her they have achived that for sure. her music is real and it touches me. i would have loved to meet her. this is a great, excellent, beautiful movie! to the Qunitinlla family and chris lopez i'm so sorry for your loss! and to yolanda saldivar, i hope you know what you did has devestated many and i hope the people in jail tortures you!

Summary: Selena is the best movie
Review: Selena had true talent and beauty. I love all her songs and I think that the movie really shows the great person she was. Jennifer Lopez did a wonderful job, she is my favorite actress and this is my favorite movie. I wish everyone could hear Selena's voice. Even after her tragic death, Selena will remain in her fans' hearts forever.

Review: The movie Selena is one of my favorite movies. When I saw it for the first time, I just had to see it again, and again. It shows what a great person Selena really was. I am glad they made this movie about such a wonderful person. She deserves it.

Summary: Loved the Movie, was disappointed by DVD
Review: I really liked this movie. I thought Jennifer Lopez looked and acted so much like the Selena I watched when I lived in Arizona. I was studying Spanish and her music was upbeat and understandable. My problem is with the DVD. I was disappointed that the company that produced it would not catch a mistake like Jackie Guerra's picture being put on Constance Marie's bio. And that they use the Snap case instead of a Keep case. Maybe I'm just too detail oriented, but for as much as someone pays for the DVD, you'd think the company would care to get it right and not be so cheap.

Review: Still reeling from the bad news that my ex-girlfriend had told me she was marrying someone else, I sat down to watch "Selena" - a movie about a singer I had never seen. It was a bad move.Not only did Jennifer Lopez capture my heart with her free-flowing performance, winning smile and infectious laugh, she also happened to look just like my ex so the scenes when she and Chris were discussing their future were particularly heartbreaking! The point is, a film makes no real impression on me unless I can sympathise with the characters. "Selena" did that for me on every level. Lopez and Olmos were exceptional giving that rare feeling that you were watching life not art. Although the death scene is rushed and underplayed, you would expect that considering Selena's father held the role of exec producer and the family's involvement in the project. Apart from that quibble it is a film I thoroughly enjoyed despite not being a huge fan of this type of music. If the performance of Lopez is anything to go by, then Selena was a huge star with charisma by the barrel. As for me....looks like I've got to hunt for a new girlfriend. Anyone know how I can get in touch with Miss Lopez????

Review: When I first saw this movie, I was not very interested. I then watched it again and it has been my most favorite movie ever since. It was a great way to pay respect to such a beautiful and talented singer. When I first received my own copy of the movie, I cried because I was very happy. I love the movie greatly and will always keep SELENA's memory in my heart.

Review: I've been a Huge Selena Fan for as long as I can remember and always will be. I've seen the Selena movie more times then I can count and I love it. I cry and laugh everytime I see it and could never get tired of watching it! This movie has really helped me deal with the pain that I feel as one of her fans! It still hurts and that pain will never go away, but I just watch this movie and I feel better! It's a great movie and I'm glad that it was made...It is SIMPLY THE BEST!!! I recommend that you buy this movie if your a Selena fan, if you're not then watch it and you will surelly become one!

Summary: Wonderful and very sad
Review: This movie has definitely become one of my all-time favorites. The saddest and most ironic part is that so many of us didn't know of Selena until after her death. It took her murder and the making of this film to show us what a wonderful person she was. My heart aches for her family and I want to thank the filmmakers and especially Jennifer Lopez for doing such an outstanding job in bringing Selena to life again. I've listened to the soundtrack a hundred times!
