Review: I have seen many versions of the immortal classic " A Christmas Carol" but none of them is better than Albert Finney's "Scrooge".
Albert Finney is a brilliant actor for Ebenezer Scrooge together with A marvellous cast. The music score for songs such as "I hate People" "Thankyou very much" and "Happiness" should be on a cd track. A warm-hearting movie showing strong emotions and a true meaning to Christmas. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED FOR FIRST TIME VIEWERS AND SHOULD BE DEFINITELY BE ON D.V.D. (I can't wait)!

A true talented actor together with a brilliant cast. The music score such as "I hate people" "Thank you very much" and "I like life" should be available on cd tracks. Review: This movie has been part of my Christmas every year for many years. The best Scrooge in my opinion ever made.
Turn the lamps off, turn the Christmas Tree lights on, make a hot toddy with a big bowl of caramel popcorn and enjoy!
Christmas would not be the same without it!

Summary: This film will not scare children
Review: This is a delightful version of Charles Dickens classic "A Christmas Carol", and is by far the best musical version ever made.
I'm writing this review because I felt it necessary to correct a previous review which said this movie would frighten children. I find it hard to believe that any child that was born after 1920 would be frightened by this film. I've seen Saturday morning cartoons that were more frightening.
It's my personal opinion that anyone would enjoy this film. However, if you're truly worried about it I suggest you watch it first. It's better to be safe than sorry.
Basically, the movie was given a G rating for a good reason: It's charming and totally NON frightening.

Summary: my favorite christmas carol
Review: I loved this movie and I loved the score (despite the critics). It was not the most popular "Christmas Carol", but I look forward to this one more than I do any of the others. As a matter of a fact, the only other one I like to watch is the 1951 featuring Alastair Sim. The music does this story great favors. I am glad to see it is available, last year it was not and it was very hard to find on TV also.
