Summary: Great Movie
Review: There are some parts of the movie that I think don't match, like how "Donna" just sorta comes out in the beginning, and at first it left me wondering "Who's Donna? Why's he singing about her now? He never mentioned her..." whereas in the show the opening spiel is about Donna, or some parts of it at least (I played for the show and that's what I remember from our version at least.)...it's a great movie to watch though, but I also didn't give it the full 5 stars because some of the songs aren't sung as well as I was hoping for - an example of which are Colored Spade and Hair...it's a good buy though, don't get me wrong there.

Summary: WHETHER YOU LOVED OR HATED THE SHOW, THE MOVIE IS GREAT, TOO
Review: I always have to laugh at the so called purists who always say the play is better or the book is better. Yes, the show is different from the film. It has to be like that for the story to translate to the screen. Know why?, because the screen is not a stage! This film Hair was brilliant and I've seen and LIKED the show, too. Foreman used a certain look for the film that gave a haunting and thrilling mood to it all. And, the final images as the troops all walk into the darkness (actually an aiplane going to Vietnam) is so unsettling. Besides this film has Beverly D'Angelo who is such an underrated actress and one of this countries most versatile. Also Annie Golden whom you'll just fall in love with.

Summary: HAIR rules the world!
Review: Hair, the best movie in the world! I've seen it about 15 times. Even though I've heard that the musical is a lot better, I still enjoy and respect the movie with all my heart. I like it that it doesn't have that "Walt disney type" happy ending. And then the best music! I think everyone should have a chance to see this movie and to like it as much as I do. I just makes you think that you're in the 60s again......

Summary: A Real Travesty
Review: This movie is not Hair, nor does it deserve to be associated with the musical Hair whatsoever. Forman took a great piece of Americana and one of the greatest musicals ever and twisted it into this poor excuse for a movie-musical. The songs are good, but they're too often sung by the wrong characters under the wrong circumstances, and the plot is completely trashed from that of the original production. If you really appreciated the show, steer clear of this film.

Summary: All I can say is: "great"!
Review: HAIR, is the most wonderful movie that I've ever seen. The dancing and the songs just make you feel all happy inside and you feel the urge to sing along. With the most perfect ending that almost makes you cry........

Summary: La Vie Boheme? This is Rent's hip psychedelic acidic parent!
Review: Hair combines the music from Jesus Christ Superstar, the energy of Chorus Line, and the spirit of Rent, but with a life and love all its own. Watch it in a light mood for the froth of its title song, an enjoyably risque mood for "Sodomy" and "Black Boys are Delicious," or angrily lament the waste war creates in "The Flesh Failures." Any way you watch this movie, it's worth it, over and over again.

Summary: Watch Hair and "feel the trip" back into the 60's
Review: I love Hair it is the most wonderful movie. Even though I have heard it is nothing like the original play I think the movie gets the point across about the Vietnam War. It touches base with so many issues that are still prevlent in society today. The actors also move you and make you feel like you have joined the "tribe" of hippies.

Summary: Good Movie
Review: The movie Hair, doesn't have the same plot as the musical Hair. The play didn't have much plot or story, while the movie does. That is different to what I was used to, but it makes the whole thing a little more understandable, and because of that the movie was awesome, but get the original cast version of this cd before you get the movie.

Summary: The movie is good but the musical is better
Review: So many people seem to think that the movie Hair and the musical Hair are one and the same. For those who have seen both, we know this is completely false and the directors of the musical get very uspet if the two are mentioned in the same sentence. I do love both versions but keep in mind they are DIFFERENT. See both if you can.
