Summary: LOVE THE MOVIE AND SOUNDTRACKS
Review: This movie is so awesome. I have seen it so many times and I love it! I don't know why I haven't gotten sick of it yet but I'm okay with that! I love the soundtracks too! All the music for the movie was awesome. I think what draws so many people to see this movie is that it is in a way a story that is being played out in many cities today.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Love, Dance, Hip Hop and Fights. SAVE THE BEST FOR LAST.
Review: JULIA STYLES stars in this romantic drama about a young woman on the verge of quitting her ballet career after her mother is killed in a car accident on the way to her recital. Now she is without a mom and is forced to live with her estranged father in the Bronx. Wanting to fit in, she begins to learn the arts of hip-hop and learning to move with the music. She then falls in love with a deascent black young man who'd been teaching her the moves. With problems getting in the way of her relationship, she still pursues her career in ballet.

MY REVIEW:

"This film was pretty good, but nothing really excellent. I got what I expected. It is a great teen film with romance, humor and everyday teenage descisions. The story everyone has to admit, was somewhat typical. We've seen that kind of plot several times. But the acting and realism pulled it all together in one good film. --It's the perfect date movie--! So check out SAVE THE LAST DANCE."- MJV & the Movies.

Summary: Great All Around Movie
Review: This movie really hits the big topics of racisim and sex. Boy, what a first line, huh? Basically, a white girl and a black boy fall in love, and no one likes it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: VERY Good!!
Review: "Save the Last Dance" is an awesome movie and I would recommend it to everyone. All of the stars shine playing their roles. Julia Stiles gives her best performance yet. This movie explores the kind of emotional strains and difficulties of maintaining an interracial relationship, as well as losing a loved one. This movie will bring you to tears. A must buy, you won't regret it!!!!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: 2K version of "Guess who's coming to dinner?"
Review: This movie gets 4 stars just for reminding me of "Guess who's coming to dinner?". Same issue --racial relations and bias-- with an interesting twist. First, a white girl goes into the "black world." Second, it is not just about relationship but dreams; the dream of Derek to be a doctor, and that of Sara to be a ballerina at Juliard. Overall, the movie is good and touches an important issues. Having said that, the movie is slow at times --particularly the first half, and the dialogues and trama are predictable. Derek has a sister that is a single-mom and struggles through life in general. Fredo Starr is stuck in the gangsta role. In addition, the relationship between Derek and Sara lacks depth. What elevates this movie is acting. Fredo does a great job in impersonating the gangsta. Derek is truly believable when he plays the "a--hole" that Sara fells in love with. Finally, Julia Stiles --though too sensual to be a ballerina-- had an increadible performance, which helped elevating the rating of the movie. I therefore recommend this movie, particularly for those who have seen "Guess who's coming to dinner?".

Summary: This Movie Rocks!!!!!
Review: I absolutely loved this movie. I think Julia Stiles and Sean Patrick Thomas made a hell of a team in this movie. "Save the Last Dance" is also a great date movie in my opinion. I would buy it if I didn't already have it. If you don't have it, get it, you won't be disappointed.

Summary: great movie & music
Review: This movie is AWESOME and so is the music. I like the fact that Julia Stiles character enters the 'black world' instead of a black man entering the 'white world'. The movie was writen and produced well accept, it did get a little slow in the middle. Thats the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Save the last dance is a great date movie. My husband and I BOTH enjoyed it. I will defently add this one to my collection.

Rating: 5 stars

Summary: Never Prejudge....
Review: I thought this movie was going to be sooooo corny. But I was wrong and it has turned out to be one of my favorites. It has solid, realistic acting from the entire cast and a storyline that is well written and easy to get into.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Nice remake of an old idea.
Review: Reminded me of "Dirty Dancing," but with a hip-hop twist. Great music and excellent choreography.
