Review: If you like musicals, or any of the actors in this film, or historical dramas, or whatever-- you must see this movie! It's a fabulous feel-good film, with fantastic performances (well, okay, so the accents could have used a little work; give 'em a break! The movie's still excellent!). I literally do not know a single person who has ever seen this movie and disliked it. Honestly. Disney should seriously consider rereleasing it, on VHS AND DVD.

Review: I have loved this movie with all my heart ever since an obsessed friend forced me to watch it. I was less than enthusiastic about her description of it (a movie about people who sell newspapers?) But by the end of the first song I was hooked.The story, for those of you who don't know, is this; When Jospeph Pulitzer, owner the newspaper the New York World, raises the price of his newspaper for the orphans, know as newsies, who sell it, the newsies rebel and decide to go on strike. They are led by the charismatic and somewhat mysterious Jack Kelly, sidekicked by David Jacobs. Obviously, since this is a Disney film, we don't need to ask who wins. Unfortunately, this film was received with intense scorn by the critics, and was an utter faliure in the box office. I can understand why. The plot is predictably Disney, the villains are extremely two-dimensional, the female characters are useless, and a purist might argue that the script and music occasionally get pretty corny. They would be right. But these objections do not stop this from being a wonderful film. The acting is well done, touching and commited. The dancing is bursting with passion and energy, and the songs, while musically somewhat predictable, are memorable and inspiring. The combination, for me at least, was electric. (Yes, I admit it; I am fifteen years old, female, and a passionately fond of musical theater. But, I mean, how can you get a whole bunch of good-looking males together, have them sing inspiring songs at the top of their lungs, and perform incredible acrobatics at the same time, and have it not be pretty cool?) See this musical if A) you are fond of Broadway-style dancing and/or singing, B) If you are a kid, C)If you are a teenage girl, and D) If you have ever loved the good-evil theme, the story of David and Goliath, or the idea of kids responding with passion, intelligence, and solidarity in the defense of justice. (In other words, see it if you have any sense of sentimentality whatsoever. If you don't, you will remain unfulfilled for the rest of your life. Your choice.)

Review: AWESOME MOVIE!! I'm 21 and I still love this movie! I saw it first when I was 18. The choreography still astounds me and I'm a dancer and aspiring choreographer. Plus there are majorly hot guys and loveable ones. Christian Bale is a given but my favorite is Spot from Brooklyn! Great for your whole family. Catchy songs you'll find yourself singing later off the top of your head!

Review: I first saw this movie about two years ago. The moment I finished it I knew it was love. I have always loved musicals, but I could never get anyone to watch them with me. After I discovered Newsies, no one left my house without seeing it. Now all my friends have seen it and loved it, We almost have a cult following. If you ever see one movie in your whole entire life, make it this one. Not only are the plot and songs good, but you get a bunch of hot guys dancin' around for a bonus.

Review: I was at my friends house and we were trying to decide between X-Men and Newsies. I'd never seen Newsies and one of my other friends hadn't either. Though we voted for X-Men, we ended up watching Newsies. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. I thank my lucky stars we were convinced. Now, Walt Disney is not my favorite video comapany, not even close. I love this movie and am planning to try very hard to obtain it. It was so good that I felf the need to tell all. I don't often spread the word on things, but the joy that is Newsies must never be put down. I got my senior quote from Newsie. All the songs are enjoyable. The characters are too. Just watch it. It's not as if you're gonna have to shake hands over it- the Newsie way. Relax, expect a fun evening. And if you aren't searching web pages for it later, you're crazy. But everyone oughta give it a try. Don' we all dream 'bou' "a payr a new shoes wi' matchin' laces" owr a "perminent box at cheapshead races"? How 'bout that? 'e's the king o' New Yowk. ADVICE: NEVER WEAR A NEWSIE HAT BACKWARDS, YOU WILL YOU UNIMAGINABLY STUPID!

Summary: This is the MOST amazing video ever...
Review: This movie is based on true events. It's about a bunch of newsboys who go on strike after the price at which they buy newspapers is raised. It is an entertaining and touching story of how much a group of ragged young boys can do. Even these young street rats have the ablility to beat the giants of newspaper Joe Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst and their own game. The actors are young and energetic and amazing dancers.There are a few like Christian Bale that went on to star in many other videos and I love them. The scenery and costumes and fabulous and the songs are the catchiest in the universe. I can not believe that this movie didn't do good it is absolutely the best movie ever. It is probably better for the younger viewers but I have no doubt that anyone can enjoy this movie. I assure you if you just give this movie a chance you will watch it again and again. I can't wait for the soundtrack

Review: My sister borrowed Newsies from a friend and loved it. I'm a deaf person but that didn't stop me from enjoying the video. The movie was visual with fun songs. (Cute guys dancing some nifty steps.) Newsies isn't all music and dancing, it got a story based on true events woven into with the musical stuff. Hey! Haven't you seen this movie? No? Go, go, go! Rent or borrow this movie. Bill Pullman is also in the movie....
