Summary: Go see the play
Review: While I'm not an Andrew Lloyd Webber fan, I was looking forward to the release of this adaptation of one of his better works. Sadly it left me cold. In adapting the play for the big screen, the authors took the edge from the plot. Their biggest mistake was to make Eva a sympathetic character. Except for Banderas's performance (ever noticed he sounds kinda like Niel Diamond impersonating Ricky Ricardo) this movie is a nicely filmed waste of time.

Summary: You've Got To Be Kidding!
Review: As a great fan of Andrew Lloyd Weber and his stage productions I had always wanted for Madonna to play Evita in a movie. I thought she had done great as Breathless Mahoney in Dick Tracy but I was saddened to discover that apparently Madonna can only perform in roles that are not too far a reach for her. I didn't think Evita would be too far of a reach for Madonna and I was sadly disappointed.

Summary: If you only see one movie in your life, this is the movie!
Review: The scenery is beautiful. The actors are beautiful. The music is beautiful. This movie is full of symbolism and tragedy, and it is hard not to be drawn in to Eva's complicated life. She is so politically successful, and yet such a failure to her heart. She is loved by Argentinians, and yet she is hated by them. There is no way to watch the waltz between Eva and Che (who is symbolic of Argentina) and not shed a tear. Madonna is superb. Don't miss this movie.

Summary: Excellent music and acting
Review: The music in this video was exceptionall. Madonna was an excellent actor in this film and as usuall, Andrew Lloyd Webber was again behind the creation of this wonderful music.I found the film very captivating of my heart and it was also a very emotional film. I doubt if Andrew Lloyd Webber will ever be replaced. This has to be one of the best musicals he ever wrote for. Songs include "Don't Cry for me Argentina" and "Big Apple." Review: Critics stuck their noses up at this movie only because of Madonna. It was the Streisand syndrome again, "Fear of Powerful Women". A better film then a Broadway production.

Review: What can I say, Madonna and Antonio Banderas togther singing? It is amazing! The portrayl of this mysterious, beautiful, yet intriuging woman, Eva Peron is outstanding. Madonna is absoloutly amazing. She was meant for this part. And Antonio Banderas surprised everyone with his amazing singing abilities. A defenite must see!

Review: This movie was a very good movie, and I would have given it 5 stars, except for the one flaw. The length. Although I did like it, it was a bit unrealistic how she was dying forever. It seemed to take half of the movie for her death scene.
