Summary: A Magical Film
Review: Chicago is without a doubt the best movie of 2002. Each song and dance differs from the last, every one of them entrancing you. Catherine Zeta-Jones truly shines in her portrayal of Velma Kelly, the singer that goes from Front Page to No Name. Her acting, singing, and dancing are all flawless. Renee Zellweger, who once seemed to be and odd pick for the lead role, shocked many by her vocal abilities, not to mention dancing skills. She plays Roxie Hart, the girl that always dreamed of being a star but never had a chance...until she was arrested for murdering a man. Richard Gere also showed off his talents as Roxie's lawyer, Billy Flynn. The story of fame, celebrity, and murder will suck you in with it's seductive song-and-dance numbers. If you are someone who is looking for a two hour escape from reality, this film is for you.
