Summary: One of my favorites!
Review: If you love musicals, you must see this one. Bernadette Peters is fabulous. I doubt that I have seen a musical that has made me laugh and cry so much. The music is very unique and the lyrics are at the same time entertaining and thought provoking. The story line in itself is worth applauding. James Lapine twists all of these fairy tales together into one believable epic fantasy. You must see it!

Summary: What a great show!!
Review: I just had the privilege of seeing this show live on stage in London. It was a great theater-going experience and the video lived up to every bit of the live production!! Bernadette Peters is outstanding, but the Baker's Wife and the two princes steal the show! A great musical for young and old! Skip "Cats" and see "Into the Woods"!!

Summary: I love this video!
Review: This is a great video. I believe that every child should see this video. I had my little sister watch it, and she just loves it. She wants to watch the video all the time.

Summary: A Wonderful Story Incredibly Filmed
Review: So often, films of stage productions have a tendency to throw in special effects and odd cuts and jumps to - supposedly - make the film more enjoyable (take the new "Cats" for example...). This is just a perfectly re-created musical. The actors shine, the voices and music are magnificent, and the story is clever, fun and insightful. EVERYONE would love this!!!

Summary: Another delightful Sondheim classic!
Review: The whole cast shines in my most favorite Sondheim musical! The music and lyrics are brilliant and you'll love all the fairy tale stories that are magically interwoven. The second act deals with deeper issues as the characters deal with what happens after they live "happily ever after." A true classic!

Summary: One of the best musicals I've seen!
Review: I am a big fan of Broadway, and Into the Woods is one of my favorite musicals in the world. The first act interweaves six different fairy tales through the device of a new story about a baker and his wife. The second act begins with, "Once upon a time . . . later . . ." and tells what happens to the characters AFTER "happily ever after." Stephen Sondheim's lyrics are, as always, insightful, managing to relate to real life in the most absurd of theatrical situations. This is a worthwhile fairy tale for all ages.

Summary: Best Musical Ever!
Review: When I first saw into the woods, I fell in love with it. It is one of the best musicals that I have seen. I am a highschool student, and we are planning a production of into the woods. I have been ecstatic since I heard about it. END

Summary: Wonderful!
Review: The performers glisten, the music shimmers. Everything was just so extrodinary in this musical. Though it is a musical telling it's tales through fairy tales, it's more than that. The themes are everything our community is built upon. END
