Summary: Fun to watch, fun to perform!
Review: One word: PERFECTION. This play is one of the best I've ever had the honor to be in. I'm currently playing Little Red and the characters are all so similar and yet so different - in the movie... all the actors and actresses have such fabulous voices. Joanna Gleason (Baker's Wife), Chip Zien (Baker), Danielle Ferland (Little Red), and Jack (Ben Wright) are by far the greatest group of people working together that I've ever seen. I highly recommend this play.

Review: I watched this video and i enjoyed it very much. The acting is well done and so funny, and the music is not only written beautifully, but performed beautifully as well. I recommend this video to any Sondheim fan, or anyone who loves musicals at all. It is really a wonderful show.

Summary: It is sooooo good!
Review: This has to be one of the best musicals of all time. Sondheim once again proves his creative genius in making such an original work based upon the brilliant connecting of some of the most famous tales of the Brothers Grimm, and turning it into one big intricate story. The music is immensly beautiful, the actors and actresses very talented, and the technical director deserves kudos too. Love this musical.

Review: Stephen Sondheim has now proved himself the master of the musical theatre, and this is his masterpiece. There is no way to describe this video, and I can't say anything that the other 19 reviews didn't already say, but still ... BUY THIS VIDEO! Musical theatre casts do not get any better than this one, and all thespians watching this live-recording will want every audience they perform for to be as good as this one! So, buy this video NOW! You will LAUGH, you will CRY and CRY and LAUGH and CRY! SONDHEIM ROCKS!

Summary: Watch out! You might learn a moral lesson!
Review: Since this play was aired on PBS years ago, my daughter and I have loved it! When she was little she learned from this play why I never approved of the tales "Jack and the Beanstalk" and "Goldilocks and the 3 Bears" (even tho Goldilocks isn't in the play the message is the same). It's The Last Midnight is the best song second only to Children Will Listen.Bernadette Peters performance is, as expect, fun and powerful. And I'd only known of JoAnna Gleason from TV and movies before this. I am glad to know that she's such a powerful singer and actress.

Review: Ever since I was introduced to this musical, it has been one of my all time favorites. I strongly recommend this video to all families and families to be. Just listen to the song "Children will listen". Barbara Streisand does a wonderful version of all three versions of CWL on her Back to Broadway album. GET THIS VIDEO...REALLY!!!

Scully P.S. is it tru that this movie has been discontinued? I tried to purchase it from a local store and they said they would order it for me. I waited two weeks for it to come in. When it didn't I literally broke into tears.

Review: This mix of all the classic fairytails combined into one musical is terrific. The Witch, Bernadette Peters is better then ever, she is one of the best broadway stars in the world.
