Summary: Eternally charming movie!
Review: This movie has always been my favorite. From the moment Bing Crosby first sings the title song until the very end...the humor and music are timeless! A classic in anyone's book!

Summary: Getting ready for the holidays!
Review: "White Christmas" with Bing Crosby is always the first holiday movie I get out. Whether I'm addressing Christmas cards, wrapping gifts, or just watching, it always gets me into the Christmas spirit. The songs are catchy, fun and memorable. I love to hear Danny Kaye sing, and he and Bing mix together well. The dancing keeps me spellbound, especially since I always wanted to dance like Vera Ellen. She and Rosemary Clooney make very believable "Sisters". Miss Clooney can be a little cynical at times, but she's still gorgeous. The plot tends to be predictable, but who cares? It's great fun. I've watched this movie dozens of times and never tire of it. In fact, I'm off to go watch it again! Happy Holidays!

Summary: I'm dreaming of.....
Review: Is christmas really christmas without "White Christmas"? I watch this movie the first week in December every year. Nothing seems to put me in a better holiday mood than that gorgeous crooner Bing Crosby. Although the plot is not fabulous, the songs and the dancing are. I love the scenes of rehearsals and the performance. Danny Kaye is amazing, and the women are beautiful. Whoever said that there had to be a really strong story line with music and moves like this? The best part of the movie is the end...when they are singing "White Christmas" and it begins to snow. It reminds me of that first snow fall every year, in which magic and the holiday spirit meld to creat lasting memories. So grab your favorite afgan and a mug of hot chocolate and settle in to enjoy this wonderful holiday classic.

Summary: Gives a wonderful, warm-hearted, happy Christmas feeling
Review: It may be simplistic, but the old ones are best. Clean, good, warm-hearted movie set in the good old days when they all lived happily after.... and isn't that what we all want to see, really?

Summary: Quality music, Lovable characters
Review: I've seen the reviews that rave it and the others that want to bury it. I can see the corn and I know the plot hasn't got meat or pizzazz, but why do we keep watching it? Not because it's real, but because we want it to be. Not because it's action-packed, but because it's simply wonderful. The characters are lovable and their talent is undeniable. It is what it was designed to be: a charming movie with outstanding musical talent performed and showcased. I love it for all that it is AND for all that it isn't. We don't make 'em like that anymore and it's a shame we can't enjoy that kind of innocence more.

Summary: Forget what the critics say, this movie is a Christmas gem!
Review: I absolutely love this movie! In the mid-1980's, our family finally got a VCR at Christmas. "White Christmas" was the first movie that we bought! It is a Christmas favorite of my entire family. Bing Crosby and Danny Kay are hysterical! Rosemary Clooney and Vera Ellen are delightful as well. There are so many wonderful scenes that fill this movie, particularly the dance sequence with Kay and Ellen to "The Best Things Happen While You're Dancing" and the closing scene with everyone singing "White Christmas." If you want to see an enjoyable, funny, lovely Christmas movie, ignore the critics and watch this fine film.

Summary: The critics are right -- this movie isn't very good.
Review: This is a subtle pro-war film that has nothing to do with Christmas. I can't believe Irving Berlin himself liked it. There are only a few things that make it worth watching. (1) Grady Sutton, who doesn't get nearly enough lines or screen time; (2) the quartet singing "Snow" in the dining car of the train; (3) the outfit Rosemary Clooney is wearing when she gets on the train as she "runs" away from Bing Crosby; and (4) Bing Crosby's apparent self-consciousness as he is undressing in front of Danny Kaye while being talked into following the girls (watch for it -- he hurriedly pulls his shirt down so the camera won't reveal the fact that he's wearing briefs!!!). Aside from all that, a real depressing movie.

Summary: To me this makes my Christmas, any time of the year.
Review: Thank goodness for home videos! Before this movie was put on home video, I would search the TV guide to see when this movie was going to be on TV just so I could feel that Holiday spirit this movie put into my heart. What is Christmas with out White Chirstmas? Thanks to Bing and Danny and the rest of the people that made this possible.

Summary: Terrible Mr. Bones
Review: I'm sorry but this movie was corny and lame. The music was good, but the story was pathetic. Not only that, two of the songs I really liked, "The Best Things Happen While You're Dancing" and "We'll Follow the Old Man" aren't even given a mention! This movie doesn't even seem Christmassy!
