Summary: not what i thought it would be
Review: first of all i would like to say that it's not karate it's kung fu/ wing chung/ jeet kune do/ I got this movie thinking that it would be funny but it was not it did not even make any sense even though i like movies that do not make sense. If you are buying this movie just for the parts about bruce lee don't buy it. It hardly has anything about bruce lee.

Summary: Such an amazing movie
Review: I had no idea "That's the way I like it" was going to become one of my most favorite movies of all time. It was hillarious, sweet and exciting and, wow, these people can dance disco! The soundtrack was amazing, the story was simple yet also touched on life's complexities. After I write this review I'm going to get myself a copy of this movie and the soundtrack. Gotta watch it over and over again.

Review: I had no idea "That's the way I like it" was going to become one of my most favorite movies of all time. It was hillarious, sweet and exciting and, wow, these people can dance disco! The soundtrack was amazing (I went out and got the soundtrack), the story was simple yet also touched on life's complexities. I've seen this film 3 times, I could still watch this again anytime. Just loved this film so much. You gotta try this. If you like light hearted, comedy, and/or foreign films, this won't be a disappointment.

Summary: Utterly hilarious! A great family movie!
Review: I loved this movie! It is one of my favorites right up there w/Star Wars, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, and American Beauty! Although it has less serious themes than my other favorites, it is by far one of my favorite comedies of all time.

Summary: Karate and Disco-How cool is that!!??
Review: I loved this movie! It was a little quirky, and though predictable at times, did contain some great surprises, and, of course, some awsome dancing. How many movies can combine karate and disco in such a cool way? This movie offers a unique twist on east meets west. It's definitely one that I would watch again.

Summary: Haven't Laughed Like This in Years!
Review: I saw this in the theaters when it was in previews last November. It was the most fun I've had at a movie since ... I can't even remember. Talk about worlds colliding - Singapore and Saturday Night Fever - we were rolling on the floor! My group of friends and I were e-mailing all of our friends, everyone we knew, in fact, to look out for this movie and not miss it. Too bad it was pulled before anyone had a chance to see it. There's no mystery or surprise ending here. It's exactly what it promises to be, full of music, dancing, humor, and asian family drama - only the result is much, much funnier than you expected.

Summary: Forever Fever!
Review: I saw this movie in New York and I left the cinema with the broadest grin.

The acting is not polished but is possessed of a rare earnestness. The script is not innovative (it's a reworked Saturday Night Fever) but is simple, uncontrived and full of heart. There's plenty of fun and plenty of dancing in this movie.

I think the director has also lovingly recreated Singapore in the 70s - which will be a great nostalgia trip for some of you. That was the other gem in this movie for me - the time travelling back to the Singapore of director Glenn Goei's childhood perhaps?
