Summary: *** Our favorite movie ***
Review: As others have already said. This movie is great. I love the part where Ken comes to ask Liz to dance with him after Pam Shore is in the accident. The singing of "Perhaps" is wonderful. This is a strangely wonderful movie.

Summary: My review of S.B.:
Review: Strictly Ballroom is definitly one of the best movies I have ever seen - its funny dialogue, its many good actors and the beautiful dancing. Paul Mercurio could give any girl a faster heart-beat just by dancing...and Tara Morice is a good actress and a good singer too ("Time after Sometimes"). Too bad she hasn't been starring in more movies. Go see it. You'll love it or you'll hate it but it is still worth a look. If not, for the beautiful dancing (tango, rumba, samba, paso doble...) See it! Bye!

Summary: The best romantic movie, ever!
Review: This film has it all, laughter, tears, great dialogue, great dance scenes and a brilliant soundtrack. For the most romantic moment in a film, check out the dance Scott and Fran perform to Doris Day singing Perhaps!

Summary: This is my all time favorite movie!
Review: After watching Strictly Ballroom over 100 times, I tried to pinpoint exactly what made me love it. The fact that it's set in Australia is fun and a twist. Scott is attractive, and Fran blossoms throughout the movie. The dancing is awesome. The dialogue is witty. The best thing about this movie is it's magic. It's a movie that sweeps me away, and makes me feel a part of it. See it. You'll love it.

Summary: If you love quirky, you will love this movie.
Review: Right from the start you know the characters are a little off balance, and maybe that unsettles you a bit, probably because they remind you of you and your life. I can only wish, I will win the guy, have a great dress on when I do, and learn to dance, strictly ballroom.

Summary: Rocky meets Romeo and Juliet meets the ballroom
Review: With children watched video no fewer than 100 times -- all at once, in bits and pieces. You know kids, once they get hooked...

Get the sound-track too and dance your way through the dishes at night.

Review: Do not miss this brilliantly executed comedy

Summary: One of the best movies ever made!
Review: Strictly Ballroom is probably the best dance movie ever made, and that includes Fred and Ginger. Not that the dancing is better (there's not enough dancing!; this movie simply has a fantastically unpredictable plot, totally believable actors who willingly stretch their characters to the limit, and direction, costuming, stage design, and editing that emphasize the fantastic element of this fairy-tale-with-a-sexy-edge. The music is wonderful, as well; I listen to it non-stop! END

Summary: Awesome movie, not so the DVD
Review: I have loved this movie for years, and had it on tape. I was so happy when I saw there was a DVD, and it had a commentary. But, surprise! The commentary is absoluely rotten. I can't believe people who could make such an entertaining movie couldn't find anything interesting to say about it. I found my self yelling at the TV screen for them to get moving. Don't remember ever doing that before...

There are a few interesting extras, but really, the only thing I got for my money as a slightly clearer picture.
