Summary: Dumb AND funny
Review: Ringo Starr (looking even more goofy as a caveman than in real life) is a prehistoric tribal outcast who gathers together other outcasts to start his own tribe. And boy does he have his hands full with big stupid cavemen (who obviously evolved into football players) and big stupid dinosaurs (okay, so cavemen and dinosaurs supposedly didn't exist together. But, hey, it's a movie and they can do what they want). Not hilarious, but very amusing.

Summary: Before everybody knew her name . . .
Review: Shelley Long upstages Ringo Starr, model Barbara Bach, and veteren comic actor Jack Gilford in CAVEMAN. The film came out about a year before Long was to star in the TV show Cheers, which launched her to deserved fame. She adds human feeling to CAVEMAN, an otherwise routine, albeit funny comedy, playing the cavewoman who can't compete with the stunning Barbara Bach for Ringo's love. Guys, don't skip guitar practice.

Summary: This is my favorite movie
Review: This is my favorite movie of all time. It takes you through the struggles of the cave man days in the most hilarious manner. If you have never seen it before, then gather up a bunch of your friends and have them come over to watch it for nonstop laughs! This is one of those tapes you will want to keep. I still have images of some of the scenes that you just can never get out of your mind.

Summary: What is zug-zug?
Review: This movie has many familiar faces that were just starting out at this time. Because there was not many words in pre-history there are more sight gags than one liners. Intriguingly many wore that "0ne Million B.C." fur bikini fashion.
I did not know that Shelley Long ...Tala (Outrageous Fortune) could talk until I saw Cheers. This is an educational movie; you get a glimpse of what life must have been with Macha the Tyrannosaurs Rex. And what happens in a near by ice age. There is a particularly well-done flagellant scene.

Everyone forgot to mention that there was only a hand full has made up words used in the whole movie. I originally saw this film at the movies and they handed out dictionaries.

Summary: a great movie about our ancient history
Review: This movie is set in ancient times. Ringo, playing the underestimated Atuk and others portrait the important events leading to humanity's great discoveries, such as fire, medicine, music. Great acting, suspense and humor should satisfy even the most demanding critic. Highly recommended to anyone age 3 to 100.

Summary: Run for your life!
Review: This was one of the best movies of all time. It was filmed before I was born and I still love it. My parents and older brother also love it. Evidently, it is a movie for the entire family. "Atook Alunda Lana"

Summary: A classic, funny movie-original for its time too.
Review: We've been inundated with spoof movies over the past 20 years, but this has always been one of my favorite slapsticks. Ringo, the guy from the Cracker Jack commercials, a beautiful model, a football player and Shelly Long who used to hawk in TV commercials for a furniture store here in Chicago (a career boost this movie was for her) in one movie? In a prehistoric setting? Great ingredients for a slick flick. Though I have grown tired of the Zucker producers over the years, this early accomplishment of theirs excels.

Summary: A Clasic Will Always Be A Clasic
Review: When I first saw this movie many years ago I just loved it. Today it will seem kinda silly but hey this movie is and always will be a classic in my collection. Too bad there are no special futures in this DVD and no special edition will likely come out.

Ringo and Dennis are great, and Shelly is surprisingly not annoying.

You will follow these cavemen all the way from learning how to walk erect, discover fire & drugs, ignore an english speaking Japanese and, one of my favorite moments in any movie, the discovery of music.

Thank god DVD technology came to save all time classics like this one.

Summary: Stinkarooey!
Review: When I think of all of the great movies that so many people are wondering and asking why isn't this movie on DVD yet and then I see that an awful movie like Caveman which is horrible is on DVD all I can say is something's not right about that! I can't believe the great Ringio Starr would even want to be in this movie and Shelley Long why was she wasting her talent in this drek? Now I have seen some movies that were so bad they were good and funny to watch but Caveman is so bad it's bad.
