Rating: Summary: A little disappointing Review: I must say that I was disappointed with this video. I had seen PULSE a number of times and this just doesn't compare. This is not the fault of the Floyd, however. The music and show is great but whoever filmed it spent to much time with close ups of the band when I wanted to see the light show. Also, too much slow motion and really slow dissolves. PULSE allows you to enjoy the complete show more whereas this thing looks like it was filmed and edited by someone who just figured out how to do slow motion and dissolves in editing and decided to show off a bit to much.
Rating: Summary: WHEW! Review: I've been a Floyd fan since 1973. I saw the original lineup touring DSOTM; I missed the WALL tour in 1981. I saw the tour in 1988 and was completely overwhelmed. I used to be an avid - avid - concert attendee until this show. The concert was a technical masterpiece of sound and light. The second set took me all the way back to 1973 on The Dark Side of the Moon. Delicate Sound of Thunder recaptures the magic of that night under the stars in Arrowhead Statium. I haven't attended many shows since 1988; those that I saw didn't come close to the extravagance of Delicate Sound, with the exception of the PULSE tour - yet another stunning experience (although I have to admit U2 in '92 was pretty good). I await the release of Delicate Sound of Thunder and PULSE in DVD format. Regardless, add these two videos to your collection. They are the next best thing to being there. If you are a FLOYD fan, these are "MUST HAVE" tapes. If you don't know the FLOYD, these are "MUST HAVE" tapes.
Rating: Summary: Almost as good as being there!!! Review: For those Floyd Fans that have had the opportunity to see them live, like myself, this is a treat. For those who haven't, this is a must! Great light show and effects, awesome selection of music. I know Waters was weeping after he saw this.
Rating: Summary: Amazing, Extraordinary, Exciting, Mind-Boggling, and more. Review: This is just one of the greatest rock concerts ever recorded on film. Each of the sound, the lyrics, the music, the effects and the lights is truly a master-piece. This is how music should be performed. Pink Floyd really sets the standard. I recommend P.U.L.S.E. too.
Rating: Summary: Pink Floyd at their best Review: This gives all the dramatic thrill of a Pink Floyd concert with all the pyrotechnics. Excellent choice to enjoy with an evening of Pink Floyd fans.
Rating: Summary: Good live material! Review: This is typically good stuff from the Floyd boys. Very high quality production and sound, good track selection, and the Great Gig In The Sky sequence is extremely memorable!
Rating: Summary: Craving the DVD Review: I have the VHS version. I love it. Of course a high quality DVD version would be totally awesome.I hope the studio is listening. What a wonderful holiday treat it would make.Until then, I'll be craving it's release.
Rating: Summary: The Best Live Performances ever in the History of music !!!! Review: Any Doubts,Arguably one of the finest Live performances by Pink Floyd.Delicate sound of thunder immediately reminds you of the songs "On the Turning Away" and ofcourse "Comfortably Numb" which for me sounds better than the original.I am totally taken by surprise that the video cd or DVD is not under production,That's a shame!!I hope we could find the dvd in amazon soon.
Rating: Summary: Saw the show Love the Video want the DVD Review: This was the first concert I ever went to and I haven't seen anything that even comes close. My VHS is getting old...please release a DVD.
Rating: Summary: Rolling Stone Sucks! This one is awesome! Review: I am a successful ex-hard rock guitarist and bandleader and, with limited experience to date, a feature film director. I have this on Lazer disc and, to me, it's the best damn concert video I've ever seen for its era. If you like, let alone love Pink Floyd, it's awesome!
