Rating: Summary: my favorite Review: I bought this video on laserdisc when it first came out about ten years ago, and it was my most watched video in my collection of 115 laserdisc's. but it developed that nasty problem that laserdisc's get called laser-rot and the disc was no longer viewable and could not be replaced. I have been looking and asking for the re-print on dvd for years and now it looks like it might be available finally. yea! thank you very much, SCB
Rating: Summary: A must have for your collection Review: This was a great concert video.zman, interesting to hear that he won an award for the audio, my tape has always had a terrible audio quality, it's not too bad most of the time, but it gets distorted on the louder portions, and I don't have that problem with any other tape. I bought it at the store, so hopefully it's not a bootleg. I have Pulse, but one thing I like about this one, is the 3 girls that sing on "Great Gig in the Sky" were just AWESOME, their voices are immaculate, and they're sexy, and put on a professional show! HERE HERE!!! I'm still amazed at the lighting, the "Circle of Lights" is an amazing rig, and it's just awesome what they can do with it.
Rating: Summary: Best Pink Floyd Live Video Review: I've seen every Live Pink Floyd VHS. To me this selection has the best song list, camera angles, and the Sound Mix is the best. It should be noted that the Sound Engineer(Buford Jones) for this tour and who also took the live tapes and mixed them in the Studio for the VHS won a Grammy that year for Best Sound Production of the Year. There are also some interesting and fantastic rear screen projection in this performance. The Director (Wayne Isham) is top notch. His more recent Videos are also great. This video does the best job of capturing Live Performance, due to the expertise of the entire Production crew and of course some of the Bands best performances. The awesome Lighting in this (by Marc Brickman) was not comprimised in the least for tape.
Rating: Summary: Lost for words Review: I would like to express how awesome this video is. First things first, my boyfriend of 2 years is a huge fan of Pink Floyd, and when we first met, I must confess that I wasn't too familiar with Pink Floyd, and getting together was the greatest thing ever to do, he taught me the history and the beautiful music Pink Floyd has made over the years, "Animals" took my breath away, and when I found this video I bought this video on the web, and gave it to him, and was he surprised, and since I have not seen this video, I was pretty anxious to watch it. Well, I must say, I was lost for words, I was into the rythym and the laser show, the pig floating around, it was awesome. The best video ever to have been produced. Pink Floyd rocks my world other than my boyfriend of course, but I would really like to see this video come out on DVD, NOW THAT WOULD BE AWESOME, as one reviewer put it, vhs tapes do get worn out, especially to those who watch this video as we do. PLEASE!!
Rating: Summary: Bring it out!! Review: Put it on DVD. VHS is outdated and Pink Floyd Rules!
Rating: Summary: The best concert video EVER Review: GREAT music, astonishing performances, wonderful images, great edition, its all there. I've seen my video more times than my kids have seen their Lion King. The video is much better then Pulse. Always looking forward to when they will be releasing the DVD since that's a masterpiece where every improvement in sound and image quality is worth a lot.
Rating: Summary: It's getting worn out and direly needed in DVD Review: This was the first Pink Floyd concert I saw albeit the show was such a success, they decided to do an outdoor tour. I caught up with them in Sacramento, California. Being a classical music afficianado with a healthy bit of R&R for spice, this concert and this Pink Floyd tour left me spellbound. The music is there, the scenes, cimenagraphics and laser show is truly all Pink Floyd. It's a fantastic tape and the asking price for used ones shows you. But tapes wear out.....
Rating: Summary: Yes...DVD pleeeeeeeease! Review: This absolutely needs to be remixed and made available on DVD; the sooner, the better.
Rating: Summary: Where's the DVD?????????????????????????????????? Review: excellent tape that needs to be put on DVD when are the morons at Sony gonna wake up and realize this will sell on DVD - if and when it comes out it also needs more songs added than the VHS version
Rating: Summary: All Concerts should be like this! Review: This is the best music video you can own. It does a brilliant treatment of the music and the concert experience. Watching the lead guitarist make love to his guitar is a sensual delight! The audience is represented, but never gets in the way of enjoying what the band is doing.
