Rating: Summary: Delicate Sounds of Thunder a must have... Review: Were could you go wrong, by not having the the video of Delicate Sounds of Thunder to watch. The whole concert is fautless.I have owned Pink Floyd music for over 20 years, and can't live without it. I have 2 sons (26yrs + 21yrs), and at the age of 4 + 9, asking me to play Pink Floyd while they were going to sleep. I also have the double cd, and played in a dark room, is very relaxing. And like most people my video is looking well used, and can't wait for the dvd to come out. Maybe everybody should personally email Pink Floyd requesting them to release it on dvd. I was only saying on Christmas Day, if i was granted one present for the whole year what would it be, and i said without a thought, it would be a dvd of Delicate Sounds of Thunder.
Rating: Summary: I want the DVD!!!! Review: I saw this video on tape, but have lost it. I can't believe that it's not on DVD by now! What's the problem?! Obviously others want it too. I clicked on the, "send me an e-mail when it's available in DVD" link under the DVD search I did at this sight an it's supposed to be a vote also. Let's all vote and maybe then we can have the DVD after about 2 million people want it! I don't think that's a high number at all considering the emaculate detail in the video and the way the music fits in. I too loved the clip of the guy mouthing, "Oh my God, it's a %#@$ing Pig!' Too much! Surely at least a couple million would want this. This is the best tape I've ever seen.. DVD please!
Rating: Summary: Bring on the DVD!!!!!!!!!!! Review: I have watched this concert soooo many times that my VHS tape is completely worn out. I have not seen this concert for many years now. The Pulse concert is good in its own way but it just does not compare to Delicate Sound of Thunder at all. Bring on the DVD people.
Rating: Summary: Pink Floyd Delicate Sound of Thunder DVD???? Review: This is probably the best concert I've seen in my life. Where's the DVD?????? Please do something.
Rating: Summary: Delicate Sound of thunder DVD ??? Review: It's been years now since I purchased Pink Floyd's Delicate Sound of Thunder on VHS and I can't believe that it hasn't been released on DVD yet. This is by far one of the best live concerts I've ever seen. The music, sound quality and overall production are absolutely brilliant. Everyone I've shown it to want their own copy but we are all waiting for it to come out on DVD. The quality and experience would rate it up their with the Eagles Hell Freezes Over DVD and blow most of the others on the market out of the water. If you agree then let Amazon know as they are putting a list together to try to have it released.
Rating: Summary: best concert ever seen! Review: I saw pink floyd in concert after roger left and I can say as a fact that that this tape(should be dvd) is very true to the real show, awsome!
Rating: Summary: I want it on DVD Review: I have seen this concert with LaserDisc. Both sound and visual effect were perfect. There are some songs only exist in the LaserDisc, but not the CD. Sony, please make the DVD.
Rating: Summary: Margaret & Rachel & Durga Review: If for no other reason, the dancing girls are a great show! They're teased into brief glimpses throughout and occasionally get to really shine for the folks. You'll have to watch it many times to see them in all thier moments. Love the way they swim. Gilmore and pals wonderful of course. The sax guy alone worth the ticket. There is a lot of 'worth the ticket' moments in this show. Not just a concert, a movie. Well done.
Rating: Summary: "By The Way. Which One Is Pink?" Review: Apparently Roger Waters was under the impression that he was "Pink" when he tried to keep the rest of the band from using the Pink Floyd name after he decided to leave. Sorry Roger but this video shows that "Pink" is the whole band...even without you. This is not only very good musically, but the editing is just great. I never saw the concert live, but the way this was put together I have the feeling that the main thing I'm missing is that cattle drive atmosphere of being in the audience. None the less the video is edited in such a way that a person gets involved in most of the concert experience. One minute you might be watching one of the musicians perform, then a cut to something on the movie screen they had on stage, then a silhouette of the curvaceous back up singers swaying to a pulsating beat in skin tight dresses. Some segments were down right sexy because of the way it was edited. The rest was just good entertainment....
Rating: Summary: WHERE'S THE DVD??? Review: Delicate Sound of Thunder is simply the BEST Pink Floyd concert you'll ever see!!! Sure, it would have been nice if Roger Waters would have been on stage as well--but then we wouldn't have had The Wall--Live in Berlin. Gilmore pulls this off brilliantly...be sure and read the book "Saucerful of Secrets--The Pink Floyd Odyssey" to learn of the fun he and the band had in doing the tour. Yes, Pulse is a multi-million dollar stage show with more razzle dazzle than DST, but it is 10 years later than Thunder and, unfortunately, the magic has faded. The bigger lasers are pretty, but the band's energy level is just not the same and it can be heard (not heard?) in the music. And then it's just plain sad to see Gilmore 10 years aged. DST is the one!!! It is now in Europe on PAL dvd and they are being imported into the U.S. WHERE'S THE U.S. CODE 1 VERSION?!?!?!
