Rating: Summary: Mesmerizing Review: This video is mesmerizing. I'm still waiting for the DVD because I wore out my VHS version and am wondering how many more I will wear out before the DVD arrives.Last night was a typical example. I sat in the family room to read a book. I put "Pulse" on for background music. The book was excellent, but after 10 minutes I ended up watching over an hour of JUST the video. This happens a lot. The video is hard to turn away from. Good video, good audio, good editing. This is the best concert video I have watched (yes, I have seen a LOT of the "Unplugged" concert videos). Only get this video if you plan to replace your VCR within a year -- you will probably wear out your tape heads and several copies of the tape. Waiting for the DVD....
Rating: Summary: DVD release pushed back? Review: Just an update on the DVD release. It now looks like the DVD will be released on February 5. I hope that this is the final release date change and have my fingers crossed. I, like many of you who have already posted here, have been waiting for the DVD release of this concert and I plan on getting it the day it comes out.
Rating: Summary: DVD coming late January 2001? Review: This incredible concert video might at last be coming to DVD. According to the November 2000 issue of Widescreen Review, it is coming the week of January 29.
Rating: Summary: When is the DVD coming out Review: I have the VCD and it is just incredible. Just buy it in any form possible. SONY, when are you releasing the DVD, it's about time... Today PS2 came out and some of my friends camped outside Best Buy. Let me tell you something, when they release PULSE on DVD, I will camp outside Best Buy. If I'm not wrong, SONY were trying to release the DVD for last Christmas (1999). I even had a pre order, but it never came out. Instead they released only the Wall DVD.
Rating: Summary: Amazing! Review: If you are a Pink Floyd fan you are going to love it! I am convinced that this group was put on the face of this earth to create music like it has never been heard. They are true artists. The music is visualized with video clips ongoing throughout the concert. The lasers, the lights, the videos, and the sound come together like nothing you can imagine. I could not take my eyes off the screen. Do not think you will be able to do something else while watching...you will be glued to the screen!
Rating: Summary: Has anyone mentioned DVD? Review: Obviously they still have not gotten a clue. I cannot imagine the sale of it. How will they be able to keep it on the shelf? I went and bought the inferior VCD version and it is good. You can't ff to each track but who would? (it would be good for repeat though) Picture quality is good but not great. Now for the negative. I have to give this 5 stars for the show and music. However, Roger Waters is largely responsible for who this band is. It is hard for me to accept them without him. The post Waters stuff is right around mediocre usually and has some bright spots. I guess it was the lawyers that say they can call this band Pink Floyd. They are still great live because a lot of the hard work, Waters' vision, writing and other stuff is already done. They are still phenomial live because they ARE great musicians and can sure put on a great show with excellent sound and visuals.
Rating: Summary: an absolute must for DVD! Review: I have worn out my VHS copy of this concert. The special effects are terrific, and the audio can only be better on DVD.Pink Floyd fans need to voice a plea to put this fantastic live concert on DVD.
Rating: Summary: The best pink floyd live video(Would have preferred in DVD) Review: I have seen the band twice since Roger's departure and own both videos. By far, this is the better of the two. The music is great and the visuals are excelent. I just wished the DVD version would come out soon; I cannot wait.
