Summary: A Must See Video
Review: The first thing I did after watching this video was rewind it and watch it again. It was one heck of a performance. The whole Dark Side of the Moon was performed as well as many other great Floyd songs such as Comfortably Numb, Wish You Were Here, and Run Like Hell. David Gilmour was truly magnificent. As far as concert videos go, this is as good as it gets. If you are a Floyd fan why don't already have this beauty? If you are not a fan I still recommend that you purchase it because the Dark Side of the Moon is a true classic, and to actually see it performed is something special.

Summary: Gilmour comments on Pulse DVD
Review: In a chat on pinkfloydfans.net, David stated the following:

"And I think the Pulse recording we'll be releasing on DVD, but its quite complicated,it has to be completely remixed"

No timetable or release date but at least we know it's coming eventually.

BTW, the PULSE video is amazing. I have worn out my VHS copy as well as the copy I recorded of the satellite version of the Earl's Court show. If you don't like this video/show, I don't know what would make you happy. I saw them from the front row in Tampa in '95 and it was fantastic. The video filled in all the blanks and reminded me of a wonderful experience.

Summary: DVD?
Review: From the "digital bits" site, dated 8/16/01, regarding upcoming DVD's:
"In other news, we've learned that Roger Waters will be releasing a live DVD later this year or early in 2002. Roger Waters: In the Flesh features hi-def-mastered concert video with 5.1 Dolby Digital and LPCM Stereo music mixes, a 30-minute behind-the-scenes documentary, band biographies, still photographs, projected images, lyrics, and more. The release date is still TBA. We're still looking into the status of Pink Floyd's Pulse." Well, I just received my copy of Roger's DVD from [Amazon.com], the best price and very fast I might add, just before Christmas. It is great; very well worth it. This make me want the "Pulse" DVD even more.

Summary: Good video, but not as good as the Delicate Sound of Thunder
Review: First of all I LOVE PINK FLOYD! That is why the Delicate Sound of Thunder video left a long impression on me when I first watched it some years ago. I think David Gilmour's vocals are fresher in DSoT than in Pulse. Also, the backing vocals singers sound better (and are extremely good looking as a bonus to the viewer). They also seemed to be enjoying the music as much as the members of the band. I am greatful that Pulse has the live concert version of Dark Side of the Moon and is always a pleasure to hear the sounds and music of this great album (my first of Pink Floyd). I saw Pink Floyd in concert at Soldier Field in Chicago when they toured for the Division Bell album. Unfortunately, it was not the best venue to see a concert. The Pulse video is definitely a better way for me to appreciate Pink Floyd for what it is. Now I have in my collection other early works by this magnificent band. If you do not have DSoT video, I would recommend to buy it. It would be a good companion to Pulse. I would love to see the DVD or video version of The Wall live concert. I think the CD version of The Wall live concert is just fantastic. Every time I listed to this CD I dream of being there. Any chance to have The Wall live concert on DVD?

Summary: DVD release?
Review: On Digital Bits dated2/22/01, it was mentioned that "We're still waiting for more details on Pink Floyd's Pulse, which is in production but has yet to be announced. And former Floyd member Roger Waters is also preparing a deluxe DVD version of In the Flesh, featuring live concert video (shot in hi-def), Dolby Digital 5.1 and LPCM stereo music mixes, a 30-minute behind-the-scenes documentary, band biographies, still photographs, projected images, lyrics and more." Well, Waters' DVD is apparently going to release around mid-December, whatever happened to "Pulse"?

Summary: DVDDVDVDVDVDVDVDVDVDVD??????
Review: This concert video is without a doubt the best one I have ever seen, but why is not being published in DVD yet? We all have heard of release dates going back to early this year, but to no avail. Even Roger's 2000 tour is about to go on DVD pretty soon, so it is listed on Amazon's listing; in fact you can pre-order that one.

Summary: Pulse
Review: Dont get me wrong, i love floyd, but i couldnt stand watching this video. The concert from a visual point of view is amazing of course but it seems that gilmours vocals were missing something (like his english accent). To me it was like watching a cover band play. But everything was flawless as you would expect from this band. if you want to see an excellent video of floyd live get "the delicate sound of thunder" i feel it is way better. When are we gonna see "the wall live" on video or dvd?

Summary: IF YOU SEE IT, BUY IT!
Review: When Pink Floyd took a visit in the Netherlands in De Kuip Rotterdam, I instantly tried to get some tickets. I succeed, fortunatly someone didn't picked up his/hers. So I got 6(!) tickets in one time... for the whole family. After a stunning show, I really don't know how late it started and ending time, my sister said:"Mom, dad, I want this every day in my bedroom!!!"
Many years later I got the video, on a CD-convention in Amsterdam, and there it was: Pink Floyd P.U.L.S.E.! I Bought it from a German salesman for DM 30,= and I watched it and I was stunned again! It was again amazing what I saw.
If your a Floyd-fan, you should buy this video! It is well worth the money!!!

Summary: Easily the most incredible rock concert ever put on film.
Review: Absolutely stunning, literally mind-boggling visuals. The cameras swoop around and yet always seem to be pointing at the right member of the band (or the backup singers) at the right time.. David Gilmour's guitar playing.. well what can you say? He can make those strings sing, soar, weep, moan, and ring like no one since Jimi.. and he does it with such a totally effortless look on his face.. there are few guitar players on this planet who can equal him..

For a bit of fun - compare how Floyd looks today with how they looked in their 20s on the Pompeii Video.. these are guys in their fifties who are obviously having so much damn fun doing what they do, and they do it so well, like they can read each other with a simple glance across the stage.. Richard Wright and Nick Mason, while overshadowed by Gilmour's up front stage center star presence, are equally masters of their instruments..

There's not a missed note or a flub in two hours of video as they run the gamut through their long repetoire of spacy, searing, haunting songs..

If you're a fan of Pink Floyd, and you have a VHS HiFi deck hooked up to a good stereo, this is a tape you simply must buy and you will show off your system to your friends with it over and over again. When I watch it, I simply can't help smiling..
