Rating: Summary: Pink Floyd - Pulse Review: I have the Pink Floyd Pulse VHS. It is awesome. I had not been a fan of Pink Floyd until I bought the 2-CD set followed by the video. I couldn't believe the extra effort these people put into the show. Laser lights are synchronized almost perfectly with every beat! David Gilmour is awesome on guitar and is spotlighted several times. This is a must for DVD! As good as the video is, it will be twice as good on DVD!
Rating: Summary: Some good news on another Pink Floyd video Review: According to an update on The Digital Bits website, Pink Floyd: Live in Pompeii - The Director's Cut DVD is being prepped for release in March 2003. Also, a DVD-Audio version of Dark Side of the Moon is also being released that month. Still, there is no news on when Pulse is going to be released.
Rating: Summary: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PUT ON DVD Review: Just took an eighth of vegetables, and watched Pulse. Without a doubt the most amazing concert I have ever seen. The lights complement the already amazing sound of Pink Floyd. Please, if there is a record company exec reading, please I beg you put this on DVD. I will pay any price, I don't care, just do it. Thanks. And if you haven't seen this video yet, weather you are a pink floyd fan or not, buy it, you will not be sorry
Rating: Summary: Something's missing Review: While the concert is technically sound I ofter wonder about 2 things: Why another concert video and what's missing from their perfromance? I have no answer for the why except the lure of money but as to what's missing, it's Roger Waters. For anyone interested in hearing a good amount of Pink Floyd music in concert I highly reccommend In The Flesh as a better way to get more bang for your buck.
Rating: Summary: Pink Floyd - p.u.l.s.e (DVD) Review: I believe that so many fans are looking forward to releasing this title as DVD format. It is the greatest live concert ever I've seen. Please do not hesitate the studio to produce.
Rating: Summary: Where the hell is the dvd? Review: Saw the Division Bell show in Minneapolis. I had seen Floyd before, also in the twin cities, in 1988 (it was my first big out of state concert). I didn't think that show could be topped, and boy, was I wrong. Everything about this show was superior--the musicianship, the quad sound system (much more powerful than its '88 cousin), the set list, and of course the stellar light show, which was not limited to the confines of the mammoth stage. The fact that David Gilmour has recently said that he would no longer tour with Pink Floyd (my nephew was crushed when he read this in Rolling Stone) makes this concert all the more neccessary for dvd. It has, in fact, been released as an import VCD, and like a fool, I bought it immediately for [dollar amount]. It reeks of a rush job--no menu, you can't access songs easily, and the picture and sound quality frankly [disappoints]. I've seen bootleg videotapes that look and sound better--I'm not exaggerating in the least. Collectors beware--"Pink Floyd Live At Pompeii" has also been released in this format. Avoid it like the plague. Now, as to why this video is not available in its proper format. I can only imagine that rights must be the issue--considering that the vast majority of reviews of "Pulse" on this site are screaming for its digital release, one would hope that someone close to the band would push for a Christmas date, preferably in DTS/5.1. Thank God I have the laserdisc (and a quality sound system--as well as the Pompeii film and "Delicate Sound of Thunder"-also on laser), but let's hurry it up, shall we? No question it would sell. Considering my enthusiasm for this video, one may question as to why I've given only four out of a possible five stars. Primarily because the "Dark Side" shows neglected some of the most powerful songs performed on most of the other dates, including the one I saw, like "Hey You", "What Do You Want From Me", "On the Turning Away", and especially "Astronomy Domine", which opened the show ("Shine On..." opened the second half). If and when a dvd is prepared for release, it would be nice if the powers that be at Sony try to include footage of these songs being performed, if only for its supplemental section.
Rating: Summary: Pink Floyd for the PULSE and THE WALL Review: First time I saw Pink Floyd "The Wall" Live Concert when I was in Berlin very close to the break fall of Berlin Wall area, and for sure it was very fantastic concert. I found this live concert was recorded in Laser Disc video format, so please, do not hesitate to remastered them into DVD - DTS format, and I believe there are many Pink Floyd 's Fans will crazy about it and finally they will purchase this very good "The Wall" live concert on DVD.
Rating: Summary: Pink Floyd "PULSE" Review: Having viewed this music concert on VHS, it is simply a visually stunning concert with a brilliant soundtrack which simply must be released on DVD in 5.1 Dolby Digital and or DTS format. A must see!
Rating: Summary: Pink Floyd experience Review: Hello,i simply want to ask why this live is not released on DVD? There are so many B-movies in DVD today that makes you wonder WHY this excellent video/audio experience is unavailable. Hope that the company that has the rights of Pulse will act reasonable and will release it ASAP. ( Of course there is no need to say anything about the quality of the VHS release... )
Rating: Summary: Greatest Review: There is no doubt whether Pink Floyd puts on the greatest show when viewing PULSE.
