Rating: Summary: Perfection... Review: This is the absolute superior live music performance out there. Its the concert by wich all are measured! I could not belive what I was seeing when I saw it for the first time. Just go and watch it! No dissapointments here!
Rating: Summary: Best show on this side of paradise Review: The thing with Pulse is the continuity ot the movie. Superb in every sense- sight and sound. The balance between each instrument is studio-quality and the quality of finish is beyond comparison- even considering the length of the movie. Prior to viewing it, I was unconvinced that it would shine, but I was tansformed into a devout fan before the first song had played through. The lighting is the most amazing aspect of the movie as it creates such a mood that sets up the music amazingly well. The music, I found, even being a hard-core Pink Floyd fan was incredible, despite having heard all of the material in studio format. Really, though; this is not just a movie for the true Floydians, but is a musical masterpeice that HAS to be seen to be understood. Going to a gig will never be the same after you watch this: the finished product is the most spectacular concert ever recorded- without any shadow of a doubt. The best tracks stand up as Shine..., Coming Back To Life, the staggeringly beautiful One Of These Days and the supreme Comfortably Numb; the 30foot glitterball turning into a jellyfish type-thing finished the show in unthinkable glory- definitely one for the musicians and everyone else on the planet really- the best buy in the entire store!!
Rating: Summary: Overall, a fantastic performance. Review: For those who appreciate the modern, "mature" Pink Floyd, Pulse is a masterpiece. For classic Pink Floyd fans, Pulse is very good. Disc one is a thoughtfully-produced set, opening with "Shine On You Crazy Diamond," followed by an early Syd Barrett track. A solid hour of music. The rendition of Dark Side of the Moon on disc two is nearly identical to the original (although that isn't necessarily important), although it has that vibrant, live energy that David Gilmour seems to command. Finally, the encore featuring "Wish You Were Here" and "Comfortably Numb" fantastic. Roger Waters fans will be thoroughly satisfied despite his absence; there's something in it for every Pink Floyd fan and is a must-listen.
Rating: Summary: Scary, but it needs more realism Review: This is a pretty suspenseful and scary movie, so I do recomend buying it. Keep in mind, trough that it's also kind of an unbelievable movie. Neverthless, there are some excellent scenes like the one in the shower. It's kind of reminiscent of the one on Psycho, but much more tense (and painful!). Overall, it's an o. k. movie, but not quite over the average.
Rating: Summary: NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE IT Review: Pulse has no word to describe it, because it is so brilliant. Pink Floyd in general must be the best, the most brilliant band ever created, where every word they say has some meaning and truth in our ever day lives. Even Roger Waters on his own must be about the best solo artist ever created on earth.
Rating: Summary: Pulse was amazing Review: i rented it from a movie store by my house and it was amazing. i haven't been this awe struck in years. the light show was phenomenal. its worth a buy, i plan to buy it.
Rating: Summary: Floyd at their best Review: With little grandstanding, Pink Foyd brings us one of their best performances despite the obvious lack of Roger Waters. David Gilmour shines as the lead of the band and leads them on a musical journey through some of the better known songs with relentless guitar licks and blistering bluesy vocals. The lights and pyrotechnics are perfectly timed throughout while the videos rivet our attention. Two percussionists makeup the backbone of the concert each comlimenting the other while remaining totally "in the groove". I enjoy this video immensly and highly recommend seeing it to really find out what Flyd was all about.
Rating: Summary: A "heart stopping" performance Review: I just got PULSE a few days back, and I loved it. All the songs were great, and my all time favorite songs, Comfortably Numb, Sorrow, Wish You Were Here, and so on, were excelent. The light show was spectacular, too. But, there was one thing that annoyed me. The song Time, my all- time favorite song, was not as good as I thought. When I got this video, I thought Time would have a monster guitar solo and the "power" that it had in Dark Side, but the guitar solo was good, but not as good as Dark Side, and it totally lacked the power from darkside. But, overall, I thought it was great.
Rating: Summary: The one video that captures my moment of bliss in life. Review: To all those who don't even know how to begin to appreciate a good show, this should wet your yassack. The best $145 dollars I ever spent was on a Ticket to see Pink Floyd in the very venue that hosts this show, at Earls Court, London. And to all those who couldn't be there, this video will give a very accurate glimpse as to what it was like to be there, I only remember about half the show to be truthful, the other half? Well.. Uh... Let's just say I was having a Momentary Lapse of Reason, the British damn shure know how to have a good time, but if you couldn't be one of the lucky one's on the Three and a Half year waiting list for tickets like Myself and so many Englishmen and Women, this video is probably the next best thing. Videy well oh my Brothers.
Rating: Summary: Better than Delicate but they can do better Review: This has some really great visuals but the songs have nothing new or fresh in them. Gilmour looks like he doesn't want to be there. I think he's ready to give up. And since when did they need a dozen musicans on stage at any given time?
