Rating: Summary: REALLY TEN STARS BUT FIVE IS ALL THEY'D LET ME PICK! Review: It's hard to find words for what I experience when viewing this video. My husband and I watched it for the first time together and afterwords we agreed we'd have to watch it again to be sure that what we saw was real. This may be a BIT exagerated - but not much! The visuals on this film are extaordinary! The light show is amazing and so well choreographed! The sound is SO good and the musical quality SO superb that I have actually begun to PREFER many of the cuts to the studio versions! I've fallen in love with David Gilmore whose smile makes him look little boyish and sweet. The newly added Floyd musicians look like they cannot BELIEVE who they are on stage with and are having the time of their lives. 145 minutes of SHEER bliss from the first note to the very last! THREE SONGS for an encore - you cannot believe it when it happens! You imagine what you would have thought being at this concert and even getting ONE encore song - when they come out with THREE you are blown away - and they are lavishly done! I don't understand some of the reviewers saying that Gilmore seemed bored and unhappy to be there - seems to me that he is either concentrating on the current guitar lick or smiling at one of the other band members -trust me - he smiles a LOT in this video. I could go on and on but I won't. Let me just say that having already purchased this video I will be one of the first to put out more money the DAY this one comes out on DVD - as soon as we heard that it was scheduled for release on DVD in early 2000 we went out and bought a DVD player - THAT'S how much we loved this concert! My ONLY regret is that I missed it live and it was only 2 hours away from where I live! SIGH... well THAT won't happen again. For someone who wasn't sure she would like the Floyd without Roger - I have become one of their biggest fans! It also renewed my interest in the Division Bell which I had previously not given much time to. Now I am a devotee of that CD as well. Ok - now buy it! OR wait for the DVD! Enjoy.
Rating: Summary: Unsurpassed Live Rock Spectacle Review: This is THE MOST SPECTACULAR ROCK SHOW caught LIVE ON VIDEO! Two questions: A> When is this GEM coming out on DVD? B> Who needs Roger?
Rating: Summary: There's nothing better Review: This is the best concert video ever released by any band! This video definitely beats the crap out of "Delicate Sound Of Thunder". This video has a crystal clear picture throughout the entire video. The sound quality is excellent. This concert was filmed at Earls Court in London and it's funny watching that audience because they just sit there. It doen't seem like they're into it. Especially during "Us And Them" where there's a good shot of the audience. They look like a bunch of zombies. Another plus is that they play the entire "Dark Side Of The Moon" album, which is something they didn't do when I saw them in Atlanta that year. Buy this video! Especially if you like concert videos. Even if you don't like concert videos, you'll like this one!
Rating: Summary: Pulse tops Delicate Sound of Thunder Review: This video is amazing! It's much better than its predecessor! Sound quality isn't as good though because the makers stuck the whole 3 1/2-hour concert onto one videocassette. If it was put onto two tapes then the sound could have been a lot better; though it would've been much more expensive. Definitely buy this, you'll enjoy it! IMHO, It's much better than the album version. If a DVD version is released buy it too! You'll have the best of both worlds (brilliant sounding music, awesome video). P.I.T.I.
Rating: Summary: The most spectacular concert ever Review: I was at this show in Earl's Court and all the spectacle and music has been effectively caught on small-screen in this video. If you like their music you will simply love this video. I'm looking forward to the next opportunity to experience their music live and unleashed !
Rating: Summary: The Best Rock Video I've Ever Seen Review: As a long time Pink Floyd fan, this is their Best Ever. A Great Video. No concert comes close to this. Planning on buying this on DVD (a must release).
Rating: Summary: I could not believe my eyes... Review: I loved the PULSE album, and bought the video because I had heard so much about Pink Floyd's legendary live performances and wanted to see for myself just how amazing their concerts really were. I got it, watched it, and couldn't move until about 30 minutes later. It just kept getting better!!! The climax was "Comfortably Numb". I was in disbelief. Wow. I didn't think that Floyd would ever be able to make a better version of the immortal song, but David Gilmour's BLISTERING solo at the end of the live version...I almost cried. It was bliss. I wish I was there. Get this video. Trust me...
Rating: Summary: amazing visual effects, but poor sound quality Review: I liked only 5 trax "One of these days" was cool. "Brain Damage" amazing "Shine On" "Comfortably numb" "Another Brick in the Wall" and the rest weren't that good in sound quality
Rating: Summary: I expect nothing less from PINK FLOYD Review: A true live concert masterpiece. Compared to most Pink Floyd fans, I am a youngen. I am only 20 years old and I never get tired of listening to Pink Floyd, and I never will. I don't think I've ever seen anyone play the guitar like David Gilmour. He is so creative and has so much talent, he boggles my mind even now. This video is absolutely stunning. I liked "Delicate Sound Of Thunder", but I think Pulse is a more complete video. Before this video goes out of print, like "The Wall" did, all you Floyd fans out there better go get themselves a copy! ROGER WHO??
