Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Perfect for couch vegetation or background eye/ear candy
Review: Basically, you get a futuristic menu layout with two different hour-long mixes. One is more ambient and features gorgeous visuals of islands, deserts and wildlife; the other is hypnotic trance and features an evolving computer generated tunnel image mixed with spiritual imagery and a few other sparkly bits. (My friends and I have a dispute as to whether or not the first track in the trance mix is what it says it is. We're thinking that it's actually Chicane's "Saltwater"....) If you don't feel like listening to the mixes, you can leave the visuals running in a loop (it will go between one and the other, if I remember correctly) and have some wonderful eye candy for your next in-house mix party! I haven't seen the second DVD yet, but I definitely want it...I just like this sort of thing. It's a shame K-Tel decided to stop producing CDs and DVDs...they were really starting to put out some good stuff, especially this series and the compilations on their recent electronic division, Cold Front. Oh well.
