Summary: Saxon, a little Denim and Leather...............
Review: I was very impressed with the DVD quality. The camera angles are good, close-ups and sound. They could have done a little better on Biff's vocals but overall pretty good. If you are a Saxon fan then add this to your collection.

Summary: Saxon Just Gets Better With Age As This 1990 Concert Proves
Review: Recorded In 1990, Saxon puts on one hell of a concert with the group sounding better than ever. This particular concert was also available on cd as "Greatest Hits Live!". Saxon plays most of their big hits such as Heavy Metal Thunder, Motorcycle Man, 747 (Strangers In The Night), Crusader, Princess Of The Night, Wheels Of Steel, Denim And Leather, And The Bands Played On, Back On The Streets, Rock And Roll Gypsy, etc. as well as one very early Saxon tune from the late 70's in "Frozen Rainbow". Guitarist Paul Quinn holds down most of the lead guitar licks, while the other guitarist Graham Oliver does some nice leads of his own. Lead Vocalist, Biff Byford sounds great and does a great job interacting with the audience. Newcomer, bassist Nibs Carter also does a great job with his superb bass playing. Last, Nigel Glockler really shines on the drum kit. The quality of this DVD is excellent with clear up close shots of the group and superb sound quality. If you want to see veteran rockers of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal (MWOBHM) movement of the late 70's put these new rock groups to shame then pick this DVD up and enjoy.

Summary: This is a Godsend!
Review: Yes, I have it. Yes, it's great. Yes, you should too. I never expected to get a Saxon DVD, but here it is. Some of you may know this as "Greatest Hits Live" from around 1990, but it's worth the cash whatever it is. A great show from a band who has never fully received the recognition they deserve. All the early classics are here (I believe this show was around the time of "Rock And Roll Gypsies" if I'm not mistaken; one song from "Destiny" is included). If it were in 5.1, I would be in heaven, but that not withstanding, I am just happy to have this. Metal fans, grab this & salivate!
