Review: In a word - sad. Did Mick Box forget how to play solos or what?? If you think you're getting anything close to old Heep you're in for a shock. What you will get is a semi-documentary on the current lineup only, but unfortunately they are sorry replacements for Dave Byron and especially Ken Hensley. You would think that Mick Box would step up and carry the group now but instead he raises the white flag with lame guitar playing galore. Even on songs like Gypsy, which begs for a great wah-wah solo like he used to do, he wimps out big time. In addition, the fact that the lead singer is one of the most femmy dudes (especially in the Moscow show) ever to hit the stage doesn't help. And please, don't even get me started on that joke of a keyboard player. So, don't let the great Roger Dean cover artwork fool you. Get some other classic live Heep and if you can't find it, be happy with your memories.

Summary: Caution, you're not getting what you think!
Review: The DVD case lists many classic Heep songs, but they ARE NOT PERFORMED here! This is primarily a documentary that covers the current line-up, so it's not even a decent overall historical look at the band. However, as a snapshot of the current band and some nice interviews with the current line-up, it does a nice job. Most of the classic material listed is played in the background or as short snippets when particular songs are mentioned. The bonus concert is well done and certainly shows the band is still very capable of entertaining a crowd. I'd recommend this to Heep fans who are interested in what the band is up to these days. I wouldn't recommend this to someone looking for a detailed overview of this band's 34 year career. I was disappointed to find so many of the songs listed on the cover not featured within, but was reasonably entertained by the interviews and miscellaneous concert footage.
