Summary: A Permanent Medium for An Old Classic
Review: Like some of the other reviewers, I bought this DVD to replace my old videotape from the eighties. I found the video quality to be somewhat better than the VHS and the sound roughly equivalent. This is the reason the DVD didn't get five stars.This early Eurythmics appearance in a club obviously can't hold up to current concert or video filming, and it's foolish to compare it on today's standards. Remember, this was recorded when MTV type videos were still evolving, and rock concert filming was in its relative infancy. Frankly, I like this lack of slick polish. Never bothered me on the VHS, and still doesn't. I enjoyed the little intro with the cadaveric-looking agent, used as a way to tie the concert and the videos together. Dave and Annie never looked better, her in the carrot hair and his moussed to hell and back. There's not a bad song or video on the disc, and my favorite was 'Tous Les Garcons' (I'm a Francoise Hardy fan). As long as someone doesn't approach this disc expecting to see modern standards of video and more particularly, audio, this will be a very satisfying volume to add to your DVD library. I'm just glad they brought it out so I can throw my VHS away!

Review: OK, first let me start off by saying that I had already owned this Eurythmics concert on laserdisc. Since I was replacing my lasers with DVD's I bought this one over again. I am now sorry that I did 'cause it was a total waste of money. The sound quality is the most awful I've ever heard on a DVD. I should have listened to some of the reviews warning me of this. My laserdisc copy is much, much better. To make matters even worse there is nothing extra on this DVD (not even an interesting menu). All it contains are the song titles on the opening screen. Releasing sound quality like this should be a crime. However if you would still like to purchase this I will sell you mine for a cheaper price.

Hard Core fans will want and need this addition to their DVD collection.

Summary: Sweet dreams - The bad dream.
Review: The concept of this compilation was interesting in the 80' but the "scenettes" with the puppies look very old fashioned now. In fact it's just a live with 3 video clips in it. Furthermore, the sound on this DVD is very poor (even if it is in PCM format). The kind of DVD released without any special work on it, just to make money.

Summary: Can't expect more from such an old tape - get it anyway
Review: The criticisms about the sound quality are entirely true; this DVD is sub par in every respect, no better than an old video tape. But then again, does anyone expect it to be more? The chances that anyone will ever remaster this early eighties concert are slim to none. So take this DVD for what it is - a convenient replacement for your Betamax tape.

Summary: Live from Heaven!
Review: The electrifying Eurythmics appear live in "Heaven" with the angelic voice of Annie Lennox & the dynomite Dave Stewart performing songs from their first 3 albums. Witness Annie play the flute! Includes some of their earlier music videos. It sounds great on stereo surround sound! Just a note, I used to have this on RCA Videodisc before my player went kerput. It's so great to see & hear these tunes again!
