Summary: Awesome
Review: Amazing. Fast country licks. Steve is a natural. good for intermediate to advanced players with a background in blues/jazz chords and are not afraid to jump into a lot of blue notes.

Got this on a whim.

9/10 and I am not a country player! Wow!!!

Summary: Astonishing
Review: Bought on whim. Can't get this out of my player. Not a country fan by trade. But what Steve demonstrates is nothing short of amazing. Super fast country licks and bends. Extensive use of 9s and 13s.

One minor complaint is that Steve is such a natural, he'll play a 100 single note lick and then play it slow and move on. He does this a few times. But with persistance you'll catch on and understand what he's doing.

I recommend this to intermediate players who have a background in typical blues chords (extensions) and can open their mind to chromaticism.

Awesome!

Summary: Getting the Sounds, Hot Nashville Guitar - Steve Trovato
Review: Steve did an outstanding job of providing a few snapshots of very different, but really interesting styles. This is not for the beginner, as it really uses some advanced techniques at breakneck speed. Other country instructional material may have more variety and quantity, but everything he shows in this DVD is very ear catching and tasty. An added bonus is that these are licks you can use, they are not limited to the solo that he showed them in, but are mostly transposable and transplantable.
I give this an A+ rating and only hope for some follow on DVD.
