Summary: Oh please....
Review: if this was an Eminem video everyone would be applauding him. However, it's an ok pg-13 video that shows a girl doing things she's not supposed to by our cultures standards.

No, I don't advocate violence but I appreciate seeing a girl kick booty instead of being the victim. Great song, interesting video.

If you have a problem seeing a video where girls are not sex objects then don't buy it. If you have a problem with men being taken advantage of by a woman, don't buy it. Personally, I love it!

Summary: What it feels like for a fan
Review: I just saw this video for the first time in a megastore. I watched it exactly three times, trying to get some sense of what the point is. Perhaps this video is the best case against nepotism--should Madonna have hired her husband just because he's a filmmaker? Can one assume that a filmmaker can create a compelling video just because they make movies? Mostly I feel that this was a missed opportunity. The album cut of the song has more dramatic tension and authentic sadness that the mix that is in this video. The techno version should have been included as an alternative mix for clubs. This could have been one of Madonna's best, most "cinematic" videos since "Papa Don't Preach." I don't always love ALL of Madonna's music, but she is one of the strongest artists of the video medium--and I think, for this particular album--"What It Feels Like For A Girl" is a tour-de-force of writing and singing. So why not a video with a story or at least something coherent? The men in the video weren't interesting to look at AT ALL, regardless of whether they were being victimized, and I wasn't crazy about Madonna's hair being in her face the whole time. If she was trying to make a point about older women and anger--perhaps she succeeded, but I found myself mostly feeling sad for the old woman playing this role. It might have been nice to see the woman who speaks the part at the beginning of the song. It's called--What it feels like for a girl, and yet Madonna is the only "girl" in the video, at 42. Where are the teen-age girls that she's singing about? I don't think this song needed a literal interpretation, but Guy Ritchie's concept of Madonna as reckless bandit isn't fully realized. I didn't take any vicarious joy watching her rob people or hit them with cars. We didn't get the set up as to why this particular woman was pushed to the breaking point. Unless the numbers on the door (666) are meant to suggest demonic possession? Is that what it feels like for a girl?

Madonna can be brilliant at times when focused, but this is the provacateur Madonna without intelligence--the Madonna who loves to shock....the Madonna of the misguided SEX book. If that's enough, and as usual, in our culture of mediocrity it often is...then enjoy. But I feel it's too bad....the song itself is very honest, perhaps even revolutionary, and the video might have been a classic.

Summary: A question for all the women reviewers here
Review: Women's liberation, huh? How many of the women who feel that way about this video would like to see their husbands, fathers, sons or brothers get hit (intentionally) by a speeding car driven by a woman all for the sake of her 'liberation'? You're all no better than Mathers

Summary: Five Stars, but...
Review: Well, I give this video five stars because I love Madonna, and she did it again with controversy, and it didn't even have any sexually explicit or religiously suggestive material, but it did have violence, although if she was going to make a violent video, she might as well should have gone full-strem with it and actually made it more graphic, being that it was banned from MTV and VH1 anyway, but with the way the world is, she should've thought about the effects it COULD have on society. The DVD itself is great, but it should've had more than just one video, she should've had maybe a few re-mix videos and an interview on what she thought about the video. This video is worth it if you're a hardcore Madonna fan like I am, but if you're not, you're better off just borrowing it from a friend and watch it, because I doubt you're going to watch it more than a few times before forgetting about it. But I give Madonna credit, YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN MADONNA!!!

Summary: MADONNA DOES IT AGAIN - BUT THIS IS REALLY POOR TASTE
Review: "What It Feels Like For A Girl" is a beautiful song about women in a male dominated society and their day to day struggles may it be career, education, intelligence, etc.

However Madonna went on a rampage with violence and guns - and with the way society is today Madonna should of made something more positive instead she blackballs us with this junk.

Trying to get a little press to sell a few more singles. Shame on you Madonna!....You are now a mother and I can't believe that you would stoop to this horrible homage to violence instead of taking this great song of yours and making a beautiful video.

A definite miss, however the dance single remixes are excellent.

I may be contradicting here, but the music is great, however the video ruined my image of what a great song this was.

Summary: What?
Review: I am in shock! I had no idea that this particular vid of Madonna's was banned from MTV and VH1. I am an American living in Europe..and thank God! This vid is showed without any problems here. I think the vid is sharp and funny:-D I think every woman feels this way with society..and at times with American society..who often devalues the woman. We know Madonna as a trend setter and breaker of stereotypes. Why should she stop now? with 2 children and a husband! I say, go, buy this vid and use it as a lesson in liberation...from the Queen, Madonna!

Summary: What It Feels like to Be Shunned
Review: Madonna has always been a genius at ruffling feathers through her music and imagery but this go-round, the queen of shock has failed to capture the attention of many outside of her loyal fanbase. The video for WIFLFAG was banned by MTV (the hypocrite of all media) after its single airing leaving those who have seen it to wonder, "what's the big deal?" The answer is: no big deal. Many are desensitized and all shocked out. Madonna should return to earning our attention with great music (such as that of 'Ray of Light') and leave ploys such as this by the wayside.

Summary: Watch It Before You Knock It
Review: So yes, I will admit the master manipulator has done it again. Madonna has once again manipulated the media into starting a controversy over a piece of her art. This video is not the piece of demented trash that some in the media have made it out to be. Madonna knows this. She has brilliantly once again got everyone talking about her once again.

If you take a closer look at this video and listen to the words of the song, one of the better tracks on "Music", you will see how funny the video is and how true the lyrics to the song are.

I love when Madonna is in the car with her Grandma and she reaches over to adjust her Grandma's eyeglasses. That makes me chuckle every time I see it. This video isn't a call for all females to get in their cars and start plowing down innocent members of the male species. Watch the video and listen to the lyrics...then think.

And what about that name of the home where Grandma stays? Madonna's wicked with at work again.

So, no, this probably isn't Madonna's greatest video ever. But it is good and you will like it if you realize the meaning behind it and do not take it for face value.

Summary: PATHETIC!!!
Review: Once upon a time there was a woman named Madonna. This woman influenced millions of teens and rose to fame by way of shock tactics like mocking the church (like a prayer)and exploiting sex (erotica). One day Madonna had a little girl and decided when it came to her own child, this was not suitable. She would never do another sex book again and found spirituality (ray of light). Now she is a cowgirl, her latest video showing disrespect for the law and the aged.' What it feels like for a girl' like most of her videos, projects immorality glamourized. And her fans are expected to pay for this song a third time. Once on the album, second the single, now the dvd.

Summary: I like the video remix
Review: This Contains Madonna's controversial new video directed by Guy Ritchie (Snatch, & Lock Stock, & Two Smoking Barrels). This video was banned from TV and will never be shown again,(or so we think) so get it now while it's still available. Includes the uncut "What it Feels Like For a Girl" video. Due to a press release info error, as previously stated, the Calderone & Quayle Dark Side Mix(Very bad remix, sounds like the insides of my body) and Richard Vission Velvet Masta Mix (American Pie Remixes were better) Audio Tracks are NOT included on this DVD - you get ONLY the video itself (Thank God!)...or so I heard, but anyways, its Madonna, and if your are a Madonna fan, you MUST get it. Enjoy)|(
