Summary: Do not say I didn't warn you
Review: I consider myself a fan, but NOOO!! this dvd is not what you expect! You can be sure! the sound is hardly 5.1 the picture quality is not the best, but what is unbelievable is that Bryan Adams being the star he is, agreed to release this dvd. Do not expect good extra features. He is not playing the guitar, God what was he thinking when he decided to play the Bass instead?
The Band reduced to 3 people why? A poor scenerio (pure white), no good shots, no exciting at all, the camera man was lost in the world focusing on the crowd and not in Bryan. Even if the songs are great (that's true) consumers and fans deserve a better deal in a dvd. This dvd is kind of boring. I already got rid of my copy. I was so disappointed.
Technology is there why do not use it?
The MTV unplugged version is better, but does not include all his greatest songs, unfortunately "Live at Slane Castle" has a better selection of Bryan's hits. But before buying it, rent it or borrow it from a friend so you can be sure what you will get.
There was a dvd released in Japan with all Bryan best videos, but it was not 5.1 and just a few could get a copy. It can not be found anymore.
Bryan we are waiting...We are sure you have much more to offer and you can give your fans a little extra and a true 5.1 or even better a dts dvd.

Summary: BA Live at Slane Castle....Must Have for a BA fan!!!!!
Review: I just finished veiwing this DVD for the first time. Anyone who has seen him in the last two years has basically seen this show. He has been sticking to the same basic format with his three piece band. I have seen several three piece shows live and really enjoyed them but I have to say they sounded a lot better live than on this DVD. For some reason it is very "empty" sounding. Maybe you do not realize it so much when your actually there but it is very evident when viewing the DVD. I do not know why he doesn't fill in the group when they are on tour or at least for this concert!!! The stage has been "fluffed" up some with more lighting and some fireworks which is an unusual but a nice change for BA. Over all the songs are great (most of the best are included), the crowd energy is awesome and for any BA fan it is a must have for your collection. A real treat is the Chicane song. It sounded awesome and the crowd went crazy!!! Anyone who enjoys watching or listening to live music will enjoy this DVD!!! I am a huge BA fan and will watch it over and over until the next DVD is released (I hope there will be more)!

Summary: Bryan Adams Live in Ireland
Review: I was very excited to see this in my local music store. After the Unplugged dvd I was expecting another brilliant musical journey. I was SO disappointed. On this video, Bryan has cut the band back to a 3 piece, just himself on bass, Mickey on Drums and Keith on guitar. Gone are the keys and the second guitars of previous recordings. Even though it was mixed by Bob Clearmountain, the band sounds thin and unremarkable, especially when Keith takes a solo and there's no 2nd guitar to fill the space that Adams normally slotted into. Also, the white set? What's with that? Everything is white. Clothes, amps, guitars kit, lighting (although his lighting has always been weak) I saw these guys live in Perth in '96 as 5 piece and they rocked. It's a shame they didn't maintain that on this recording.

Summary: This is not a good concert
Review: I've seen alot of concerts of my favorite musical artists. From U2(Zoo TV, Elevation Live from Boston) to Randy Travis, and I thought the Bryan Adams concert from Ireland would exceed my expectations like the others did. Man was I wrong. The music is good, or at least most of it. The problem with this DVD is the way it's filmed. The stage is a ball of white light, Bryan is wearing a WHITE shirt, playing the BASS guitar and the video director shows the crowd more than the band. Of course this may be because there are only 3 band members. Don't waste your money on this DVD, it [STINKS]!!

Summary: Very Enjoyable Concert
Review: If you have not heard BA in a while, you are in for a bit of a shock. Hearing his songs played as a three-piece lends a simplicity to his songs that I really enjoy, making many of them sound almost "unplugged." The concert is a great mix of his older, classic songs with his more recent hits. BA fans, like me, should enjoy this DVD...others certainly will not be disappointed! This is a great addition to my concert DVDs - I am sure you will enjoy it, too.

Summary: Far exceeded expectations
Review: Initially I was reluctant to buy this DVD, because of the criticism of the three-man-band. However, the concert sounds great. This is a fantastic DVD concert of Bryan's greatest hits. The sound is quality is remarkable, the video quality is great, and the extras are good.

There are some drawbacks to the three-man-band. Some songs do lack the depth of a fuller band. For example, it would have been nice to have a second guitar on It's Only Love and Cuts Like a Knife; or keyboards on Heaven and Run To You.

The crowd really complements the music with great enthusiasm.

Summary: Should've Been Earlier!
Review: Like a Huge BAD fan that I am, I've been expecting some video material from bryan adams since I first saw him live, in 1997.
I can't say i was disappointed with this dvd release, but it could've been much better, especially concerning the venue, the 3 piece band, and the guys outfit, I mean, they seem like westlife or something...
Bryan Adams was born to rock, and eventhough his age may change his mind, I don't think that the fans like to see him all dressed in white...
The picture quality is not so good either, sometimes it gets a little unfocused, although I enjoy the shots from the camera inside the crowd bouncing around.
Bryan adams is due to release a new album next year, with a new key and guitar players and a world tour is already being scheduled, so please bryan, let's rock like in the old days! Pick up a stadium next time, or release the wembley gig,in 1996!
In My opinion the highlights of this dvd are: summer of 69, when you're gone, heaven, everything i do, don't give up and a stunning cloud nÂș9.
The 3 bonus tracks aren't included in the set list, cause there were some problems, like bryan forgetting the lyrics and such.
A must have for any true rock lover!
