Summary: WOW!!! WHAT DVD A MUST FOR ANY FAN
Review: After the last dvd MTV Unplugged i wasnt expecting too much with this dvd but my chin was on the floor when i first played it, it certainly made my christmas.

The live concert itself was brilliant the usual interactive Bryan getting the crowd involved all the way and with the very special surroundings of Slane Castle.

The backstage footage is just brilliant with interviews bonus tracks, rehersals etc etc. My only complaint is that the very anoying MEL C was there and she just ruins 'When Your Gone' The Girl that gets pulled out of the crowd must be the luckiest person in the world

A FIVE STAR DVD (I WANT MORE LIKE THIS)

Summary: Best BA I have ever heard
Review: BA is in the best voice that I have ever heard from him. I am an old fan - I have heard everything from BA - and most of the songs in this concert were better than his recorded/radio versions. His voice seems to have gotten better with age. (No, really!) It was unusual to have the concert done with only a three-piece band, but I enjoyed it...but it would have been better with another guitar to fill out the sound. The editing was excellent, blending shots from many different cameras and angles in order to keep the DVD moving.

The extras are good - but the band interview could have been much better and in depth. I especially liked the photo gallery included as an extra on this DVD. Overall, an excellent buy and a must for any BA enthusiast.

Summary: Raw
Review: Bryan Adams has had a serious make-over since 18 TIL I DIE. That album laid to rest the scrappy and scruffy Bryan Adams and gave birth to a more adult contemporary, dare I say, fashionable BA. The album photos revealed a more sophisticated BA, and this DVD is an extension of that new artist. The stage and lighting is artistic and highly conceptual. The bands clothes and overall vibe seem very "VH-1" (for lack of a better adjective). They pull it off quite well, as we can't stay 18 forever. The only gripe then is the actual performance. Without the benefit of a 2nd guitar player AND keyboardist, it is impossible for the BA band to recreate the sound of the original recordings, especially from the Mutt Lange era (Waking up the Neighbours and 18). The crowd picks up the slack however, raising the energy level as the night goes on. I loved the look of this DVD and the audio is actually quite good, but without a full band...it's hard to give it a perfect score.

Summary: Great
Review: Bryan Adams puts on a great show in this DVD. Each of the songs he performs is fantastic except for "When You're Gone." The only flaw in the song is the special guest Bryan brings out on stage, Mel. C. She performs in the recorded version of the song and she's great in it but something has happened to this woman since then. She looks terrible and her voice is even worse. Aside from that the rest of the concert is wonderful. I really don't understand why there are three bonus songs. Why weren't they just put in with the rest of the concert? Is it to make consumers think they are getting more bonus material than they actually are? The interview with Bryan and his band members is really good though.

One word to Bryan: White isn't your color.

Summary: Great but; I miss the full 5-piece band!!!!
Review: Cool gig, and DVD with good xtras, but if you have seen Bryan Adams live in the 1980-1998 period you would know that BA played with his original band: Tommy Mandel (keyboards), Mickey Curry (drums), Dave Taylor (bass), Keith Scott (lead/rhythm guitar) and of course BADMAN himself on rhythm guitar, and some times on lead on tracks like "The Only THing", "Black Pearl", "Take Me Back" etc. BUT after 1998; he started playing as a trio with only Mickey and Keith, which gave him limited options of tunes to play live, and had to arrange the one's kept in the regular setlist in a different style. All in all: If you know the old full band; and see this trio live also; you WILL miss the original band; because there are alot of missing space; and we don't get to hear that really unique rhythm guitar style from Adams on classics like "Can't Stop This", "Summer Of '69" etc.
Also: with the trio, some of the big old power rockers, cannot be played at all, or is either played ín a very modest, kinda boring acoustic version. Don't be fooled: This DVD is great, but as a fan who have seen the Adams band live both as a trio, and full 5-piece ya can't help wanting the full band back, simply because of this: You get your deserved run for ya money, and also get to hear ALL the hits live in their orginal heavy version!!
But, changes can be good, so buy this anyway. IT IS a cool gig; with guest apperances like Chicane on Don't Give Up and Cloud No 9, Mel C, and Davy Spillane on amazing Irish flute on two tracks - and then it can't get any better with 56.000 screaming fans!!
I just hope BA will release the filmed gig from Wembley Stadium in 1996 with a crowd of 100.000 and of course FULL BAND!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Great Concert!!!! All true fans must have.
Review: For all True BAD fans, this is a must have if you haven't seen it already. He is truly amazing in concert, whether watching this dvd or reflecting when I saw him in concert 3 years back, it's just great.
I read some complaints about the all white clothes setup and just the three of them(musicians), trust me...it's great. When you look at all of today's artists who sound nothing like their recordings in person, this is what performing live is all about. Heck, just look at the thousands of people in this dvd at his concert!
I just felt the need to respond on a very positive note for fans of Bryan. If you are a fan, how can one not like this?
Thanks,
James

Summary: What is up with the Whistles?
Review: Good concert. Audio is good (but not stellar). Video is good...but definitely not reference quality. Overall a very enjoyable concert with some great classic Bryan Adams material.

My only serious gripe is with the crowd. What is up with the folks in Ireland? The people at the concert thought it would be fun to bring their own whistles...you know, the kind that sound like a police whistle. Instead of cheering...they blow these high-pitched/shrill whistles every chance they get. The problem is that occasionally they do it even during the songs. VERY ANNOYING. If I was in the crowd, I probably would have strangled a few people. I wished they could have dis-allowed this practice...especially for a recorded concert event. It almost ruins the concert and is really just plain RUDE.

If you can block it out...you will enjoy the show. If you can't (and I almost can't), you will want to skip this one...or sell it after you watch it a couple of times and make a decision.

Summary: The best music video ever
Review: I am a massive Bryan Adams fan, and recently went to his concert in Liverpool. I loved it so I thought I would chack this one out. It is superb, the sound is amazing and the extra footage is just brilliant. You can see interviews with the band and also him rehearsing for the big night and the build up. I recomment this to any BA fan, whatever age. The bonus tracks are good, and you can tell Bryan put alot of effert into the performance along with his band and the special guests eg, Mel C and Chicane. Most certain it is one to buy for you.
