Summary: mine didn't work either
Review: although the rest of the disc captures SOD at their best...it freezes at track #34...and goes no further. consider buying this one used from someone who has it already...i believe there are SOME good copies of this dvd out there

Summary: Thanks for recommending Speak English or Die
Review: Anyone who owns Speak English or Die should own this DVD. This is the height of metalheads playing punk rock. Some of the footage from the German show, especially Charlie Benante drumming, is incredible. S.O.D fans, dig in!

Summary: Something new to me, and I liked it.
Review: I had heard some of SOD's songs before buying this. I also heard anthrax remake alot of their songs, but I never bought any of their albums or seen them live. This is a very good DVD. I love it, although I could not give it five stars for only a few reason. One, compared to other DVD's the picture on this is more VHS quality, im not saying its a bad picture, its just not Metallica's cunning stunts DVD quality. Next complaint, yes there is 2 concerts plus bonus stuff, but I personally thought the 2nd concert on here (I think its the one is russia, but could be wrong about the location, I'll have to look again) anyway, I thought the sound was terrbile. Even though this is a major bad point, this does not mean do not pick this up. Even without the 2nd concert there is a ... load of songs on the first concert, and some of the same songs are duplciated on the second concert. (maybe Ill look into my DVD sound settings to see if I can tweek it, but one should not have to do this with a good DVD).
Anyway. Very good DVD, Better than I was hoping for. The songs are heavy and kicked [behind], some of them are also very funny. I couldnt stop laughing when I found out they had a song dedicated to starvation in ethiopia called "arn't you hungry?"

Summary: A must for any S.O.D. fan
Review: Since S.O.D. (the originators of the hardcore/metal crossover) weren't together very long, this is a real treat, especially given the high quality of the audio and video. There are two shows, which have mostly the same songs. The first is at (I believe) The Ritz and is interspersed with commentary and interviews with the band members, which are pretty cool, because they talk about the songs, the band, and what people's reactions were at the time. It's a nicer format than a lot of concert videos, I think. The second show is more of a high-quality bootleg, which is shot from on stage by a camcorder (I think). The video quality is quite good, and the sound quality is good (but not as good as the first show). There are some extras showing SOD in the studio (though I'm not sure what they are doing, since they have only one studio album and the footage is not of them recording that), and them joking around, and it's pretty cool.

High points:

- Ballad of Kurdt Cobain!!! (My band played this for years, as a tribute to SOD's Ballad of Jimi Hendrix; I guess we weren't as clever as we thought :)
- Billy hits some guy in the head with the mic and you can hear it clearly!
- Ballad of Jimi Hendrix during the first show contains clips from previos SOD shows where they played song (apparently twice per show!)
- Billy's William Shatner impersonation while reading a newspaper.

Summary: Best Live DVD I saw!
Review: This DVD contains 2 concerts, 1st is form the 1992 (live at the Budokan CD) Ritz Megaforce Anniversary/SOD reunion concert and the 2nd is from Germany 1997.
Both recordings captures SOD at their best. I can feel the energy, Power & the feeling of live concert as if Im watching it live. They were only filmed by Roadcrew & fans and this is what makes this video incredible to watch! we can watch the Real SOD! no overdubs & studio editing.
The audio is acceptable VG+ except for the encore of the Germany show. The only thing I hate is the interview in between songs, they should compile all the interviews and make a separate menu for it! You won't be wasting your bucks here, highly recommended if you like watching live performances and if you are an SOD fan since 80s. Goosebumps is what to expect!

Summary: TWO LIVE SHOWS + INTERVIEWS, AND BEHIND THE STAGE FOOTAGE
Review: This DVD is great and is a must for any S.O.D. or Anthrax fan. Due to the fact that S.O.D. barely exists a lot of S.O.D. fans have never gotten the chance to see them live. If that is the case then you must get this video because you feel like you are right there at the concert! The shots of the mosh pit are awesome and the interviews let you learn more about the band. This video shows Billy Milano going absolutely nuts on stage as he does stunts such as: stage diving, beating a microphone on someone's head, driving a mini motorcycle on stage. Also, the mosh pits in this video are incredibly brutal, those who have never moshed before might want to watch this video first show they know what they are getting themselves into.

Summary: This is a genius of a dvd!!!!!!
Review: This is a classic! It has The Ritz show in New York City plus a Germany show. The best part of it is the backstage and studio stuff with Billy Milano joking around. The commentary audio track by Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian is also great. This is even more timely with songs such as "Speak English or Die," and "...The Middle East." Also, in the beginning of the dvd, Billy Milano jumps off a 25 ft. stack of speakers into the mosh pit and smacks some guy over the head with a microphone to get out. My stomach hurts from laughing. The dvd has great extras as well. Also worth buying is the cd, Speak English or Die.

Summary: 2 COPIES - NEITHER ONE WORKED (AT ALL!!)
Review: WARNING: I have tried 2 copies of this DVD on 2 PCs and 3 different DVD players. Neither copy worked on ANY of those machines. It's possible that the current batch of DVDs were manufactured improperly. Wish I could view the DVD.... :(
