Summary: BUENA PARA ESCUCHAR UN PAR DE PIEZAS SOLAMENTE
Review: AL VER A TOMMY, ME PARECIO QUE HABIA RETROCEDIDO EN EL TIEMPO
POR LO MENOS UNOS 35 AÑOS YA QUE DESDE HACE ESE TIEMPO MAS O MENOS QUE VENGO ESCUCHANDO CRIMSON AND CLOVER Y CRYSTAL BLUE PERSUASION,SIENDO ESTAS LAS PIEZAS QUE MAS ME HAN GUSTADO.
NUNCA PENSE QUE PUDIERA VER UN DVD DE TOMMY JAMES, LA VERDAD

TAMBIEN SE PUEDE UNO DELEITAR CON LA INTRODUCCION DE SONIDO
MODERNO DE GUITARRAS EN ESTAS PIEZAS.

Summary: I Lucked Out
Review: I bought this DVD in the hopes I would hear the group sing their hit songs in their entirety, and was pleasantly surprised. Draggin' The Line, Crimson and Clover, Crystal Blue Persuasion, Hanky Panky, Mony Mony, and, my favorite, I think We're Alone Now were all very well done. Other features include individual song commentary, full-length interviews, discography, and a biography. However, it was the full length renditions of their hit songs that get the five star rating from me. If this is what interests you, you will get your money's worth from this DVD.

Summary: Tommy shines on this DVD!!!!
Review: I originally got into Tommy James' work during my punk-rock days (well, as long as you consider Billy Idol punk rock!) The greatest hits are all here (MONY MONY, I Think We're Alone Now, Tighter Tighter, Crystal Blue Persuasion), and I must say that Tommy is in fine voice. The arrangements are true to the originals, but the DVD audio is crisp with clear separation between the channels. This is a live recording, and Tommy and band are loose-as-a-goose, and they look like they are having the time of their lives. The Bitter End provides a great backdrop for the performance, and the surround sound puts me right in the middle of the performance.

Summary: Better than AM radio
Review: I took a chance buying this DVD, and it paid-off. I was never a big fan of Tommy James, but the songs are ingrained from years gone-bye (mostly AM Radio listening). What makes this DVD a special treat is hearing all these songs, for the first time, in premium sound quality. While I wouldn't rate the sound quality as superior -- it non-the-less delivers quality enough to make this DVD's 5.1 surround a keeper for the ages. The picture is also very good, and the setting, filmed at "The Bitter End" a small nightclub/bar makes the moment very personal. Much like some of my other favorites: Roy Orbison (Black & White), Bee Gees (One Night), Moody Blues (Royal Albert Hall), the overall quality and features (interview etc.)make this DVD one of those unique finds that favorably captures the music of its time in a just fashion. Chances are that if you show an interest in the DVD you will most likely enjoy it.

Summary: SWEETER THAN BITTER!
Review: I'm a big Tommy James fan, but there are a couple of things you should know about this concert. First is, none of the original Shondells show up here. Now that's not too important because, let's face it, Tommy James is the show here. Second, and most important is that this concert is lip-synced by Tommy James. That's right, upon close scrutiny, you will see that James is not singing live. However, the vocals used are very, very good. Picture and sound quality on this DVD are good, and if you are a fan, you should enjoy it. But, buyer beware!
