Summary: 2% Of The Real Woodstock 99
Review: I paid, I went, I saw, I experienced. Unfortunately this production of the event doesn't come close to the experience of 3 days of 250 thousand people united in one purpose. Most everyone saw on the news the declination of the event after the walls had come down and the locals started bringing in alcohol. From Thursday afternoon through Sunday afternoon Woodstock 99 was about the Love, Peace, Music and high water prices. I don't remember anyone not having a good time and respecting each other.The video does a fair job with the music part. I was hoping for a more extensive version of coverage of the event when the DVD was released. I mean a Double Sided, Dual Layered, Double DVD set could have had much more exposure of the whole event. I guess the producers felt it was adequate to just master the same VHS tape that was release last year into a DVD format and market it. I saw the entire Pay Per View event afterwards and the coverage was fantastic. This would have been the ideal release. In all I give this new format release a 2 out of 10. It's the same old stuff released last year in a new package.

Summary: Future woodstock's will be better than the first
Review: I read one of the review's on here for woodstock 99
and I'm sick of people writing review's and they don't
even know the difference between rock and pop.
First of all Limp Bizkit, Korn and Kid rock are not pop
bands they are rock and metal bands.Sure they are mainstream
bands but they are still rock and metal bands.It's obvious
that future woodstock concert's won't be the same as the first.
That was then this now and there is a whole new generation
of band's out there waiting to be heard. wether it'd be metal,
hard rock, blues, Jazz, rap/hip hop,alternative and etc.a big
concert like this has to please everybody.They are not putting
on a concert just for you it's for everybody.I've never been
to woodstock but even I know that not everybody listen's to
the same music.I love rock n roll, blues, heavy metal , alternative, rap and Jazz and if I were to attend woodstock
if there's a band I don't like playing I'll walk away from
the stage and wait to hear who's next.I wish people would
respect music even if they don't like it.The reviewer who I'm
talking about must be old because he or she only care's
about the first woodstock and doesn't appreciate any other
music.Like I said that was then this is now and well if you
don't like it well don't buy a ticket. Woodstock 99' was
an awesome event with alot of great new music and a whole
new generation of people.It's ok to remember the first
woodstock but now there will be more and better woodstock's
in the future.

Review: I saw the show live, and enjoyed it very much. The DVD leaves out the highlites, in my opinion. And where is Willie Nelson? The songs chosen for the cut are terrible, and pathetic. Very dissapointing, and the CD too. oh well :-( I got suckered into it just cuz I found myself on the cover art.. Lawsuit? Hmmm... :-)

Summary: Costello-Stock 99'
Review: I think everyone is preety sure about who this festivalbelonged to...Elvis. Even if your not a Costello fan, you have to admitby the look on everybodies faces while he was singing, that this guy is # 1. He's been around for over 20 years and he's probably the only artist who's getting more popular as time goes by. The video is good. I t would be better if it had more Costello! END

Review: I watched this video with my son, who I sent to Woodstock for this year's birthday present. He really wanted something that would show more of the behind the scenes, not just the music. Please do one with the people. He was disappointed in the video.

Review: KoRn ROCKED ON STAGE...THEY WERE BY FAR THE BEST BAND THERE...LIMP BIZKIT ROCKED..FRED GETS THE CROWED ROCKN' FROM THE FRONT TO THE BACK..ANOTHER GREAT PERFORMANCE WAS BY ICP...THIS VIDEO GETS A GREAT FEEL OF ALL 3 DAYS..ITS GREAT !!

Summary: 50% good 50% sucked!
Review: Okay, Woodstock is supposed to be about peace love and unity. This video proves "peace love and unity" as "hate gangs and destroying". They should have had some more positive bands like 311. I.C.P. should NOT have been there! They REALLY made me mad when they sang "F**k The World". Other than that, the video was okay. They could have put some better songs from the bands though. Especially from Godsmack, Lit, and Metallica. Basically, the video was not bad.

Review: Please oh please give us a woodstock video that reflects more woodstock life footage. You know, not just the music, but what the woodstockers were doing before, during and after the music. Don't get me wrong the bands were great, but in my eyes that was only 50% of the experience! Woodstock '99 I miss you :(

Summary: I Wish I Could Turn Back Time
Review: The Main reason this is not a 5 stars DVD is because of the musics that were selected on this release.It's a shame and it seems that they just picked it out randomly. The korn appearence is quite awesome and the crowd coverage is excellent through all the bands appearances, and in the interlude reports too. anyone wo sees this dvd gets a great experience of all the environment surrounding the venue and the madness that was going on. Another "not so good" thing about the dvd is the sound, which could just be better... The backstage interviews are worth seeing too, and i have no clue why GodSmack appearance is not included, but it's an excellent item to own if you are used to feel that tickling down your spine when you see a big crowd together sharing the same feelings for one reason! and believe me,250.000 people together worths for itself that you buy Woodstock99 even that's just for a glance. :)
