Summary: Nickelback Live ROCKS!
Review: As good as they are on CD, Nickelback blows away those performances live and this DVD catches the spirit that is a Nickelback live show.

Any real fan of the band MUST HAVE this DVD.

Summary: A absolute must for any Nickelback fan!
Review: At first when purchasing this DVD from my local music store I had mixed views about how good this release by Nickelback would be. All I can say is that I was not at all disappointed but infact please beyond my wildest imagination.

The canadian band played in their home city and to a raucaus reception played their hearts out. Good song, good picture, great quality sound. The band were professional in their undertaking and were a pleasure to listen and watch. This DVD is a must for any fan new or old of Nickelback, who have gone from classic rock into the alternative mainstream rock arena.

Summary: Hometown Boys Rock DVD
Review: Being a huge fan of the Nickelback boys, I had very high expectations of this DVD. Let me tell you, I was not in the least bit disappointed!
That these guys absolutely rock on their albums does not show the whole picture. Their live shows are the absolute testament to these guys' talent and ferocity as the best live band ever!
I had the great fortune of seeing Nickelback at a music festival in Canmore Alberta, Canada in 2002 and I was completely blown away. That show proved to me that, unlike other artists out there, these guys are the real deal and do not require the usual over-producing that other lacking talents so require.
I love that DVD producer Nigel Dick was able to utilize many different camera angles and show the best of the best! I also appreciate thet the band was willing to throw in the extras of the band behind the scenes and giving a peek at lead singer Chad Kroeger (Hubba, Hubba!) in songwriter mode, and all the guys joking around like normal human beings.

I appreciate that the guys were able to pick out the best of their songs and play their hearts out for us. The only unfortunate thing is there were no songs from their first album Curb.
I really enjoyed that the band included some of their videos including the rarely seen version of Leader of Men and the making of Too Bad.
From the whole set up of the DVD, you can see that the band is looking for their fans to get the feel of the band, including those who have never had the privilege to see them live and in person, and that shows how much they care for the fans.
Whenever I watch my copy, I get that full-body tingle that came when I saw them live in concert and the fact I can relive that whole experience over and over again was worthwhile for me to spend the extra money even though I don't have a DVD player of my own!
Even though the DVD is totally awesome, it doesn't quite give the full effect of their live show, so if they're gonna be in your area and you have the cash to go, I would very much recommend seeing them live and in person!! NICKELBACK ROCKS!!!

Summary: Reliving the Nickelback experience!
Review: For all of you Nickelback fans out there, this is it. The DVD we have all been waiting for. Now I'm sure you're asking yourself, was it worth the wait? Well, I'm here to tell you, yes! Having been to three Nickelback shows within the last year, I can say firmly, that this DVD is literally "Live at Home". It brings the concert directly to you, and with the optional Dolby 5.1 surround sound, it makes you feel as though you are at one of their live shows again, or for the very first time. It also includes some awesome home video of the band in Europe, along with pre-show warm up, and other behind the scenes footage. Plus it includes the videos for Leader of Men, How You Remind Me, and Too Bad, along with a special "making of" for the Too Bad video. So for those of you lucky enough to have seen a live Nickelback show and want to relive it, or those who didn't get the chance, this DVD truly brings Nickelback to your home for your own private concert.

Summary: A. Yushkov, this is for you...
Review: Go to hell, dude...
You talk about musicianship??? And you dare to name Led Zeppelin? Got some names for you, and some of them are even older that your beloved Page, and Plant: Bach, Mozart, Zappa, Vai, Pastorius...
If you wanna talk about the quality of music, rather than listening and enjoying it, then first learn something about it. Otherwise, shut up, and stop talking like you knew something...
I hate all of you who claim to understand music, when never have listened to something a little bit complex, like a 7/8...
Anyway, Nickelback rocks, and that's for y'all.

Summary: It's mine now
Review: I grew up on Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath.
Of course, I heard a couple of NB's songs recorded in studio and I always thought that it was great job of sound engineer.
These guys have no such skills as Page, Plant, Lord, Pace and Gillan had, but it really does not matter. They have most important for rock band thing. It's called "drive".
I've bought this DVD for my daughter's 15th birthday.
And now I'm afraid to tell her that IT IS MINE!!!

Summary: Great sound and energetic performance
Review: I'm a big fan of live concert DVDs, and this one is worth owning, especially if you're a Nickelback fan. Though it's mostly of their older material, it showcases their energy and how much their fans are enjoying the show. The video is 4:3, and complete with many cheesy effects. If you can just get over that point... The Dolby Digital 5.1 audio mix is fantastic and one of the best I've heard in concert DVD's. Vocals and instruments are crisp, and plenty of mix in the LFE (sub channel) for that concern feel.

Summary: Amazing DVD
Review: I'm a big fan of Nickelback and have yet to see them in concert (hope so with the release of the next album). I bought the DVD and could not wait to view it, and was not disappointed. Chad Kroeger has an amazing voice and it was gratifying to see that it's the same on recording as it is live. I hope they release a DVD with material from Silver Side Up and well as The Long Road! My guy is a musician and while he was just a fringe Nickelback fan, now that he's "seen" them live he's a huge fan!

Summary: It's like I am at the show all over again
Review: One word. Perfect. Being one of the biggest Nickelback fans alive, (I saw them three times on the SSU tour, and 8 times in my life), I have to say that this DVD is awesome. It's like seeing the show all over again, whenever I want. All of the extras included add a lot as well. One thing that they could have included that they didn't was all of their old videos that were only released in Canada, like Old Enough, Worthy to Say, and the independent version of Leader of Men. Perhaps Roadrunner Records couldn't obtain them, I don't know. Regardless, everything they did include was amazing.

One other thing that they didn't explain very well was the fact that the first song that they played acoustically, and then showed them rehearsing in the extra footage called Mistake is not a Nickelback song. It is a cover that they did of another amazing band, Big Wreck. I just thought that I would clarify in case anybody was expecting to see that song on the next Nickelback CD, it won't be.

In the end, if you can't decide whether to order this DVD or not, DO IT, you won't be disappointed!
