Summary: A must have for the Deep Purple Fan
Review: Very good compilation of Deep Purple from 1984 to present. If you have the old Video Singles vhs, you can ebay it as the material you were holding it for is now here on DVD. That said, the additional footage is quite good. As the DVD progresses and the years add up, the audio and video quality improve as well. Almost every clip from each year would make a good concert in and of itself and we do wonder when they'll be released in their entirety. If they do, please be sure to master them in Dolby Digital 5.1 as this DVD would have benefitted greatly with a 5.1 audio track. It is sorely missing. It doesn't thump like the Total Abandon or High Water DVD's. That said, it's very cool anyway. Deep Purple seems to recognize that the DVD format is a winner as they have released a good number of titles in short time on this format. Too bad other bands aren't following. Gene Simmons should release all those KISS shows on DVD that we have been buying as VHS bootlegs for years. We'd all much rather that than KISS toilet paper, dolls and tasteless Kiss Caskets. So, if you like Deep Purple, this is a sure thing. Buy it, you'll love it. Also check out the other Deep Purple DVD's. I have them all but Bombay Calling and they are all worth it.
