Summary: ARETHA and MARIAH is the BEST!!! Celine Dion annoys me!
Review: I really thought that Mariah will have a showdown with Celine "the Magician" (because of her dress) in one song but it did not happen. you know why coz Celines fans will be disappointed if she agrees. Mariah will crush her into pieces! celine shouts the songs..... but Mariah does it more naturally without any effort! so does Aretha which is overwhelming! Gloria and Shania didnt shine very much but was one great adventure. GO MARIAH!!!!!!!

Summary: HORRIBLE!
Review: I watched this on VH1 for 4 reasons: 1. LeAnn Rimes 2. Faith Hill 3. Elton John and 4. Cher. Other than that it was the worst TV viewing I have ever experienced in my entire life! Whitney Houston is not the queen of anything anymore. Who ever says she still has a voice is out of their minds. She has ZERO voice anymore due to drugs. She wouldn't even make it on American Idol. And what is Brandy doing on the cover of this DVD? LeAnn Rimes is the "diva in training"? Please. Brandy is such a waste of space it's not even funny. You should at least have to have a little talent before being considered a Diva. I can't tell you how rude VH1 and this Diva show treated LeAnn Rimes. First, the cut out one of her songs off this DVD. During the show she was (probably) forced to go out on stage and sing with the entire group. Everybody completely ignored her and circled around Whitney. The screaming witches drowned out anybody else and poor Faith Hill was stuck on the other side of the stage with wacky Brandy. The whole show was just a mess. VH1 should have stopped after the first Divas show because that was the only good one. I'm giving this 3 stars for LeAnn, Elton, Faith and Cher.

Summary: Legends, Great Music, and DRAMA, DRAMA, DRAMA!
Review: If you want TRUE Diva's - this DVD has truly got it for you. Unlike the one before this (which should have been titled "The Aretha Franklin Show")this DVD has a variety of new artists and legends. Opening the show, the incredible Tina Turner exits her limousine and walks down the red carpet to the intro of her hit "Simply The Best". CLEARLY the audience agrees with her song's message - she is simply the best. She then sings "The Bitch is Back" with Elton John (ommited was "Lets Stay Together" which aired on the original television version) and is joined by Cher for a duet on "Proud Mary" - one of the highlights of the show. Oh, but Cher...how bright she shines for a moment through "If I Could Turn Back Time" until she decides to lip-synch "Believe". Wow. What a let-down. What was SHE thinking. But the best is yet to come. Here comes country bumpkin LeAnne Rimes who sings "Written In The Stars" with Elton. Who made HIM a Diva? Legend - yes. Diva - not so much. Then there's Faith Hill before it was cool to like Faith. She's a Diva in training. She and Brandi sing "For You I Will" but you'll wish that they hadn't. And then here comes Whitney...let the drama begin. She sings "Its Not Right But It's Okay"...yeah, its not. And then sings with Mary J. Bleige who was going through a severe ghetto period - the dress and tatoos say it all. Whitney sings "I Will Always Love You" but of course she has to bring Bobby Brown and her little girl (Bobby in a wig) up onstage to declare her love for them. About the only great thing she does is when she invites Chaka Khan to join her on "I'm Every Woman"...yeah, all the divas - MINUS Cher, Tina & Elton, who were smart - join them onstage for this closing number. Oh its all so much to take in. The only thing it lacks is Bette Midler cussing everyone out and some drag queen dressed as Streisand shouting 'WHERE'S BARBARA!?!' in the front row. All of them bring their own bands, the lighting/effects/sound are good and everyone from Mark Lauer, Star Jones, Susan Lucci and Martha Stewart are all in audience. Hmmmmm....ehhh, go ahead and buy it. If you took the time to look it up on Amazon.Com, go ahead. You've come this far! LOL ;-)

Summary: Poor Show
Review: In the first place, why was Brandy in it?! They should've billed Mary J. Blige instead of her. Her performance was weak. Faith Hill, LeAnn Rimes, & Elton John further dragged the event down. The show is about Divas, ok? Hill & Rimes are NOT, although Elton can pass for a diva. Tina was "Simply The Best." Cher is NOT a diva. She can't even sing live, for crying out loud! As for Whitney, I was disappointed because she gave a so-so performance. Her "I Will Always Love You" number was mediocre. Her voice is weakening and it showed a lot in this concert. All in all, the show was boring. It's about Divas. The only Diva that night was Tina Turner. Houston, maybe, if she sang better. The show paled in comparison with Divas Live 1998.

Summary: "NOT" Horrible "Longshotex"
Review: Ok, I'm not out of my mind, as you stated. Whitney still does have a voice and I'm sure the "Whitney Fans" don't appriciate your crud remarks concerning her! Whitney gave the performance of a lifetime with "I Will always love you" & "I'm Every Woman". I own this video and also have the audio CD. I have enjoyed them both. Of course I'm a Whitney fan, but I also enjoyed the performances of Tina Turner, Cher and Faith Hill. Tina Turner would be my second favorite on this program. She gave such energy to the show! Yes, Longshotex, I enjoy Leanne Rhims, but she's no "Whitney". Whitney is the "Queen".... Long Live the Queen!
