Summary: totally 80's infected
Review: alright, I'm a total Roy fan, however I was thoroughly dissapointed with this performance. For some reason the band felt the need to "modernize" all his classic songs, which resulted in 80's bastardizations of all his classic's. All the songs are altered to different tempo's to accomidate a different era, which I felt is "oh so wrong".

Summary: Long Live "The Big O"
Review: Fortunately while "The Big O" was alive I had the honor of seeing him live four times. On this DVD copy of Live At Austin City Limits, Roy handles his crowd the same way as when I saw him. He starts everything off very slow and easy and by the time he belts out "Crying" he has the crowd eating out of his hand and screaming for more.

I found the DVD very enjoyable. The only black mark against it is that early in the DVD there seem to be some problems with focusing of the stage right camera, which made some scenes to appear blurry at times. I enjoyed the many close-ups of Roy. You could see how much he was enjoying himself and you could make out how little effort he was using with his 10 octave voice to reach those high notes that became his legacy.

Although I found his band over played "Working for the Man," it was a pleasure to hear Roy perform it on this DVD. It is a very difficult number to do both musically and vocally. All in all I enjoyed this DVD and would recommend it to any Roy Orbison fan, young or old.

Summary: Magic!
Review: I buy Black and white night, and Live at Austin city limits at the same time.First DVD is very very good, but for me Live at Austin is
absolutly fantastic.I watch that DVD at least 3 times a week, or if I be honest every day! For me Roy is the greatest singer ever, and the world music is unlucky because Roy died at only 52.
But Roy lives in my mind and my TV every day!
You must buy this DVD!!!

Summary: No Limits On ... Live at Austin City Limits
Review: I watch this DVD at least twice a month and I never tire of it.
I believe that Roy had his famous" butterfly" stomach at the beginning of the show, half way through the first song Roy hit
his stride. The rest of this show was outstanding.Roy was using
some of his favorite musicians for this performance. You could tell that Roy really was enjoying the "jamin" during the show.
All of the musicians were excellent. The DVD is awesome because
I can hit the zoom in button and get great close shots of Roy's
face. Some people have said that they don't like his looks. All
that I can say to that, is they don't know beauty when it hits them in the "ears." With the quality of this DVD shown on my large screen TV,it is almost as good as having Roy standing in
my living room.I also enjoyed the Documentary Footage,Still Gallery and the Song Lyrics.I also have it on VHS.But the DVD is
a better way to enjoy Roy Orbison performing.I love, love, love
this DVD!!!!!

Summary: Outstanding!
Review: If you're a Roy Orbison fan or just an oldies fan , get this DVD. I own both Black & white Night and Live in Austin Texas. And I love them both. The Black & White Audio is superior to The Austin DVD.....But COLOR is COLOR. I think it gives more depth than the Black & White. That's why I own both. Two totally different atmospheres...that's what sets them apart. If you watch your videos in two channel rather than surround, you should'nt notice much of a difference. Again you have to remember the supporting cast of Black & White was excellent. There I go again. Buy them both, you won't be dissapointed.
