Summary: dissapointing but also good
Review: i expected that this dvd would have all of britney's videos, in fact it only brings 3 (4 if u count "crossroads-overprotected"). this dvd was rushed, its just a plug for her upcoming movie "crossroads" and dvd release of "britney: live from las vegas". they should have waited a bit longer on relasesing this dvd cuz only a couple of weeks later the actual video 4 "overproteced" was released. they could have added her eye opening performance 4m the 2000 VMAs and 2 more other videos which i would have liked 2 see on this dvd, "from the bottom of my broken heart" and "i was born to make u happy". and just 2 add, it would have been better if the whole uncut pepsi commercial was on it, insted theres the version that cuts back and forth 4m britney 2 people watching her on the tv. all in all, i think it was a good dvd but not worth wut i payed 4. if ur a britney fan, get it but be warned.

Summary: Brit the videos
Review: AWESOME that is the best word to describe the videos. It give you the full pepsi comercial, the viedos for slave, not a girl not yet a woman, and a few more, it also has a photo shoot with Britney. I love it.

Summary: Title is misleading, content is poor.
Review: From the DVD's title, "The Videos," one might expect that it actually contains ALL of Britney's videos. In reality, it only contains three (four if you count the "Crossroads-Overprotected" video) and the rest of the DVD is simply a plug for her newest DVD, "Britney Live from Las Vegas" and her new movie "Crossroads." There isn't any content on the DVD, merely Britney Strikes a Pose, (not interesting, and The Making of the Movie Crossroads (also not very interesting). There's little diaglogue, just her talking about her movie. If you enjoy watching commercials, that's all this DVD is. If you enjoy content and a DVD that's worth the time to watch it and the money to buy it, skip this one. I wish I would have.

Summary: This is NOT a video collection
Review: BRITNEY: THE VIDEOS is misleading. There are exactly 3.. yes 3 music videos TOTAL on here. They are: "don't let me be the last to know", "I'm a slave 4 u", and an alternate "I'm not a girl, not yet a woman." The rest of it consists of a photo shoot?! That's right, Britney taking cute photo's while "anticipating" plays in the background. Was that necessary?! Even worse, it also includes her pepsi commerical. To me, this was a complete waste. The record company could've put together a real video collection with all of Britney's videos. BRITNEY: THE VIDEOS also includes a sneak peak at her new movie CROSSROADS and also the MTV performance of "I'm a slave 4 u".

Summary: My Sons Love It
Review: While out Christmas shopping for his mother, my 5 year old asked if there were any Britney Spears DVDs available. We checked and he asked if he could have this one for Christmas, so I got it. I'm not much into her music but both of my sons love this DVD. The short program is no problem since they tend to have relatively short attention spans and run from one toy to another. One good thing is that this caused them to discover Joan Jett due to Britney's cover of "I Love Rock and Roll". The sound and video on this disc is excellent. I don't remember girls looking quite like Britney when I was a teen...

Summary: Not Exactly what the title Implies
Review: It's not a bad collection, but it isn't exactly what the name implies. Yes,It would be good to include Britney's entire video collection all in 1 place. The only place I have seen 'Born To Make You Happy' is on the videotape that McDonald's sold last year.If you're a big Britney fan, this is one for you to add to your collection. But for only 30 minutes long, its a bit expensive. I'll wait for the Live in Las Vegas DVD. More excitement for the money.

Summary: Great collection, but not the best Britney DVD
Review: This is yet another DVD featuring Britney Spears videos and other video collections.

CONS:

Unfortunatley this one seems to be simply 'thrown together' quickly to get it out in the market for her third CD.

PROS:

The DVD, however, still has what us fans are looking for:

- The latest 3 music videos: "Don't let me be the last to know", "I'm a slave 4 u", "I'm not a girl, not yet a woman"
- Behind the scenes: A photo shoot and also behind the scenes of her upcoming film 'crossroads'
- Performances: 'the MTV music awards where she danced with the white snake' and also 'overprotected' with shots from 'crossroads' (NOTE: you can see this video on your 'Britney' ECD)
- TV Commercials: The infamous PEPSI commercial and also the Live from Las Vegas HBO special

BEST MUSIC VIDEO:

The best of this DVD are the "I'm not a girl, not yet a woman" video (which was wonderfully done), the "Pepsi" commercial for a little fun (this is the COMPLETE commercial), and the performance version of "overprotected".

EXTRAS:

You can edit the DVD setup to have it play in Digital 5.1 or standard Dobly 2.0 (standard DVD play setup).

The neatest feature, however, is to turn on the 'lyrics'...great if you're into karaoke or just want to learn the lyrics of the song!

BOTTOM LINE:
If you're building a Britney DVD collection, you will *have* to get this one! Be sure to pre-order (or buy in January 2002) the 'Britney Spears Live From Las Vegas' DVD...sure to be a very good DVD!

Summary: Britney Spears - Britney: The Videos
Review: This video starts off with her last video from her "Oops I did it again" album which is called "Don't let me the last to know" then "I'm a slave 4 you" from the 2001 Vmas and then it shows the Britney's Pepsi commerical you can hear the whole song but it's not the whole video because they have the guys staring at her and things like you see on the Tv commerical but a little added votage of the guys in there. Then she strikes a pose from Vouge mag while they are playing a new song from her album "Anticipating". Next they show "I'm a slave 4 you" Music video the they go into "I'm not a girl not' yet a woman" music video and thats one of the 3 versions that they have the video on here is just her and no movie scenes from her new movie "Crossroads". Plus it has her singing "Overprotected" that has some really funny outtakes from the movie it's the same thing you can see on her new cd "Britney" but you can't hear it on the cd. The commerical from HBO is just her singing a lttle part of "I'm a slave for you" and shes just dancing in an elvis suite. The last thing on here is The making of "croosroads" which has a lot of unseen footage from her new movie and shes talking about the movie and telling you what its about. This video is only 30 minutes. This is a really good video if you like to see music videos and you want to get to know her even better.

Summary: "Britney: The Videos" . . . It Deserved to be Better
Review: "Britney: The Videos" is equal parts satisfying and frustrating. While it does give us a healthy dose of Britney strutting her stuff, one can't help but feel that this DVD package could have been loaded with so much more. After the sensational package put together in her previous video and DVD, "Britney Spears: Live and More," this latest offering is almost a snub.

Here are the good things about the DVD: 1) You get three of her actual music videos; one of these is from Britney's second album, and two others are from her third album. 2) You get two commercials that Britney has done; one is her Pepsi commercial, and another is an ad for her HBO special. 3) You get Britney's performance at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards. 4) You get Britney's "Overprotected" video, which features outtakes from her upcoming movie, "Crossroads." Incidently, this same feature is also available on her latest music CD. 5) You get Britney posing for a photo shoot. And 6) You get a behind-the-scenes look at the making of "Crossroads."

Here are the bad things about the DVD: I am very surprised that with all the videos and DVDs out there, not one of them has had Britney's video for "From the Bottom of My Broken Heart." I was most definitely anticipating that video to be on this release, but I was disappointed. Another thing that is troubling is the lack of things that were included on this DVD. We only got one live performance, for example; you're telling me that the makers of this DVD couldn't have gotten a few more of her performances on here? What it feels like to me is that the making of this package was rushed. And what I mean by that is this: somebody thought it'd be a great idea for Britney to come out with a music CD *and* a video/DVD at the same time. So it was thrown together a little hastily. "Britney: The Videos" had the potential to be the best offering out of the three "Britney Specials" on the market; however, it only come across as slightly above average.

"Britney: The Videos" is a sharp-looking package; there's no denying that. But it could have been better. It should have been better. Die-hard Britney fans will no doubt pick this one up. But for someone who has done so much growing in her three years in the music business, you would expect that videos/DVDs of Britney would grow as well - not get shorter.
