Summary: Loved It!
Review: I love Pearl Jam, so it would be pretty hard for me to give this a bad review. I thought it was a great inside look into the band's creative process. There were some glimses of how the band interacts with each other that were great to see! It has some great versions of most of the songs on Yield. My only complaint would be I wish it was a little bit longer! I think it's only like 45 minutes.

Summary: The Theory Works
Review: I was truly impressed with this video. It attempts to capture what life in the studio is like for Pearl Jam, and I can only assume that they did a good job. However, if you're expecting great insight into certain members of the bands personality look elsewhere. The bulk of this film is the band practicing with a few interviews. Naturally though the music is incredible and the sound quality is quite good.
Great Job Pearl Jam!

Summary: The Yield Sessions Jam!
Review: The "Single Video Theory" is a recording that documents the "yield" sessions. Picture quality is magnificent, it comes in b/w and color format. There are almost no silly effects, or cheesy editing techniques except in one of the last tracks, where the video is divided into 4 sources on screen that change every once in a while. It looks fairly cool when two or more sources combine to make a larger one, or a section of the original one.
Sound quality is awsome! Its mixed by Brendan Obrien, the producer from almost every single pearl jam album.
Every single song sounds different than the final cuts (the actual songs in yield) And there are a few comments from the band, that make the whole package great.
I love this video so much that i found myself making an audio copy so that i could hear the songs and commentaries whenever i want to without the necessity of a vcr.
This is a must have for any PJ fan, for it gives an insight into the involvement of the band in making a record, and the recording process of the whole thing. Its also like a mini interview. Plus there are a coule of tracks (or maybe improvisations) in here, that you will not be able to get aywhere else. In fact these outtakes or improvs are cool and make you wish they made a whole song out of them.
This video ROCKS!

Summary: Cool Making of...But
Review: This is definetly a cool video to see but my major gripe is with the DVD itself. There are no chapters on the disk and there are no DVD extra's. Otherwise this is good stuff.

Summary: A Pearl Jam fan must!
Review: Up close w/ Eddie et al. Exciting insights into the personality of the band and the individuals. Gotta love Eddie.

Summary: Not much to fuss about
Review: So terribly sorry to disappoint anyone, but this DVD is a waste of my (and your) hard earned dollars. I LOVE PEARL JAM, I have been to many concerts, and I collect every piece of their music I can get my hands on, and I have to say, this is the only one that isn't worth it.
The recordings, of course, are immaculate, at least this part is enjoyable. But the constant zooming in on pretty boy Ed Vedder's chin cleft got a little nauseating after a while. I just wanted to put the YEILD album on, so I could listen to the SAME EXACT THING, and not have to watch this phoney crap. I miss the introvert pearl jam who wouldn't think of being so vain, and who would put the MUSIC FIRST, before their cute little interviews in which they answer tough questions such as "What does Pearl Jam mean to you??" Don't waste your time wondering whether or not you should buy this dvd - touring band 2000 is much more what you're looking for if you're into the MUSIC.

Summary: Excellent- but not out on DVD in the UK
Review: If you're a Pearlies fan, this is a must. My mate just brought the DVD back from Brazil, and neither of us, being massive Pearlies fans, can believe that we haven't heard of it before, but that's because it's not out in the UK on DVD, we think. The session music is superb, and the interviews, surprisingly, add to the overall effect. There are a few 'things' that go on throughout the DVD that I did find amusing, though I haven't watched it loadsa times yet. My advice- buy it- and if you live in in the UK, get down to the electronics store, get a multi region DVD player and surround sound home cinema system, and enjoy!!!

Summary: I'm sad when its over
Review: When I watch SVT and TB2000 I honestly get sad that its over. It is really good, and kind of an intimate setting with the band in a small recording studio. There are some interviews with the band members, and I like the "behind the sceens" footage. It is sort of like a documentary of Pearl Jam recording songs from yeild. I think its awesome and you've got to get it for yourself if you are a big fan of PEARL JAM...or get it for anybody you know that is a Pearl Jam fan ...I got mine as a gift and I think it makes a terrific gift for fans.

Summary: Self-Importance gone astray
Review: Big fan of the music - but like probably a big segment of the Amazon population - would rather cut my toe nails with a butter knife - than have to eavesdrop in on extensive self-absorbed grunge-alogues. The boys/zealots that require you buy alternative paper packaging on CDs now make you suffer through forty odd minutes programmed as a single track (i.e., no ability to view Chapters) - I fell victim to Peal Jam risk this time - or at least until I return it - or charitably give it to a street vendor.

Summary: Solid Video
Review: Pearl Jam are not known to be in the spotlight much, so this video is a very pleasant surprise. The art direction is a bit flimsy, though. But for Peal Jam fans, a good buy. Can't wait for their next DVD, Pearl Jam: Touring Band 2000.
