Summary: great live!
Review: at the first i was expecting megadeth will recording their live album when marty & nick was still on the band cause it will be more awesome but nevermind this live album still sounds great with al & jimmy.wht make this album great is probably because unlike most bootleg live recording this live album sound quality is at the top. dave vocal didn;t sounds really good on this album but the rythem tight and perfect plus al pitrelli is playing great in most songs but in some songs like hangar 18 tornado of souls and ashes in your mouth he didn't shred perfectly. but you all knows no one can copy marty friedman solos not to not cause he had very unique style of his own, but overall al pitrelli played well.jimmy de grasso double pedal sounds really pwerfull and david played the bass well as usuall
the picture quality is 10/10.

my only complain is dave didnt talk much with the audience like he used to, he only talk couple of time with only short speech and that's the only minus point for this live performance
overall this is worth buying

Summary: Toss up - CD or DVD?
Review: I purchased the Rude Awakening CD 2 years ago when it was first released and being such a fan of Megadeth and heavy metal in general, I really wanted the DVD to see them actually playing these amazing songs. The camera work is good and the sound quality is great. You may have noticed that 5 songs from the CD aren't mentioned on the DVD song list, however they are located under "special features". Why, I have no idea. The interview segment with the band is very insightful and interesting as well are the other special features. Overall, I am definately glad I bought this DVD.

Summary: More, please, MORE!!!
Review: What took Megadeth so long to release something like this? The live show captured here is best summed up in one word; amazing.

For all the diehard 'Deth fans that lost track of the band during the Risk days and loss of Nick Menza and Marty Freidman, you need to check this out. The musicianship showed here is unreal. Top notch performances all around. The set list is terrific. Highly recommended.

Summary: Intimate and Extreme Performance
Review: Megadeth has easily endured the test of time and keep making brutal riffs and articulate lyrics in their music (pick up THE SYSTEM HAS FAILED). In this dvd, Megadeth was supporting their THE WORLD NEEDS A HERO album (which was ok, but had only one really good song, DREAD AND THE FUGITIVE MIND, which is what they open up with on this dvd). The whole band shreds it up big time on this album, as they welt out their classics one by one, kicking everyone's ass each time. Watching the dvd, you actually feel as you are there (I know it sounds cliche, but you really do). So if you're just a casual fan, or a die hard fanatic, I highly suggest that you pick this up.

Summary: Boring DVD!
Review: I love Megadeth, but I don't like this DVD.There are many things wrong with it.First off, lame song selection."Burning Bridges" should have been replaced with "Moto Psycho",and "1000 Times Goodbye" is a decent song, but they should have put some more old stuff on it.Second,BORRRRRING version of "She-Wolf".The drum and guitar solos in this version are endless.Third, they should have let the concert run straight through instead of putting 5 songs as "bonus tracks".Fourth,Dave has almost no interaction with the crowd. He used to give great stage raps, and now he doesn't.Fifth,They should have done a live DVD along time ago with Marty Friedman and Nick Menza, the best 'Deth lineup.Only get this if you are a die-hard fan.Otherwise, look around for some bootlegs.

Summary: Wow
Review: I usually review stuff that's not very good. But this is so awesome that I have to bring this one up. Mustaine and company have mastered their instruments and few can dare to challenge such precision. Just so I can bash something else, don't get that St. Anger piece of crap that came out a couple years ago. Metallica owned up until that album and had they not put that out, maybe Metallica would still be more favored than Megadeth in my book. This DVD shows that some bands can stand the test of time and still kick some ass.

Summary: An absolute must have for every Megadeth fan
Review: Containing what is footage from Megadeth's possible final tour, the Rude Awakening DVD is an absolute must own for any and every Megadeth fan. Featuring some of the most aamzing guitar work ever captured in a live video concert performance, Rude Awakening is a more than fitting swan song for one of the most legendary metal bands of all time. Seeing the band perform "Dread & The Fugitive Mind", "In My Darkest Hour", "Angry Again", "She Wolf", "A Tout Le Monde", "Mechanix", "Sweating Bullets", and "Peace Sells" on this DVD is almost as good as seeing the band in person; the audio and visual presentation is uncanny. While it would have been nice to see some other fan favorites like "Mary Jane", "Forclosure of a Dream", "Looking Down the Cross", "This Was My Life", "Countdown to Extinction", "Insomnia", "Diadems", and "Moto Psycho", this concert DVD is still phenominal.
