Summary: Trey and the boys once again prove their uniqueness
Review: Let me start by saying after experiencing Phish on 9/20/00 in Cincy, 2 miles from my house, I have had a deep respect for their indisputable uniqueness and talents. They continue to amaze me as far as their live performances go. This DVD has given me so many smiles already just seeing the band up close and feeling the music almost from their perspective. The setlist was excellent...Probably one of the best Mike's Song--> Simple I've ever heard; hands down my fav. version of Maze. Weekapaug Groove hits at the end of the first set and leaves you yearning for an more. During the second set when Trey announces the bands future plans about the hiatus, he explains a strange dream he had...He explains how he was sitting in the middle of a field on a beautiful day and in the corner of his eye, he sees people flocking towards him, masses of people come and form a circle around him where he sits. He then explains how a someone hands him an apple and when he goes to eat it, he realizes he has no teeth. Soon thereafter, Trey explains how a large single tooth grew out of his gums..(He finds out you cant eat an apple with one tooth)He then worries about letting the people down by not eating the apple and then suddenly, he explains how a bright occurence happened...The earth was thrown toward the sun and was closer to it than it had ever been. He worries about the possibility of the end. Instead, the world shriveled up like a raison and all the people were flung together in a large mass of GOO!!! This dream just really gives me incite about how cool and down to earth these guys are and how much they love what they do...It proves what life is all about, one min you can worry about a minute details (for example many war causes ($$$ and power). the next min, you dont know what will happen. Life is about happiness and togetherness and this show makes me feel great.

Summary: Some awesome Phish
Review: Live in Vegas is just a terrific Phish show. Most jam bands are at their best when playing live and Phish is no exception. Shot just six shows before their hiatus, Phish is in pure form. With plenty of great Phish songs, plenty of jamming, including a vacuum solo, it is the perfect DVD for any Phish fan. It is also a good DVD for those who have yet to be introduced to Phish

Summary: Who cares
Review: Many people who have reviewed this have complained about the film quality and what not. I say who cares?!?!? I agree the quality of the picture could be better but what does it matter?!? I mean when youre at a show do you really pay that much attention to whats goin on with the boys on stage. I know I dont Im much to busy jamming out with my eyes closed and listening to the tunes. As for this dvd I think its great and definetley quenched a thirst I had for a long long time. I love throwin this in and rockin out with the boys. I actually think that the film quality is not bad and there are some great shots of the audience and band. All I can say is that we as phans sometimes become too picky and we forget that these are just four college boys from Vermont that absoloutley rip and always bring a smile to my face. I would reccomend this dvd to any fan of the band. Thanks once again boys!!! See ya in Vegas feb 2003!!!!!

Summary: Visuals are disappointing
Review: OK, so I'm being a little unfair by focusing on only one aspect of the DVD, but DVD does stand for Digital VIDEO disc, and the video on this is very poor.
Normally, I would not write a review, but I feel that someone choosing whether or not to purchase this should have a clear understanding of what they are getting. Worthwhile audio, incredibly disappointing picture.
Of course, it's not really fair to compare the shots on here to the beautifully shot and edited Bittersweet Motel which was filmed on 35mm, but what can you do. That's what I was hoping for.
Other than that, you've read the other reviews- everything else is as you'd expect... but a 'live' DVD with such bad, dark picture quality does not help make this more of a 'live' experience.

Summary: Audio Great - Video So So
Review: Phish at LV. Good show. Trey announces the hiatus but the croud does not care - audio is great but the video at times is very dull and out of focus. Trey flubs lyrics to Esther in 1st set but who cares Fishman is really laughing on this one. I like to see concert DVD's - Phish does great with this first one. It isn't perfect but honestly can you remember this show if you went to it - get the DVD and bring back the memories. I actually have my sense of smell activated by this DVD and I can swear I smell something as I am watching the concert. It is as close to being there but not being there.

Summary: DOCKED A STAR FOR JIVE PACKAGING
Review: So here we are with Phish's first official home video (DVD). How much Phish had to do with it's production I don't know. What we end up with is fine stuff. It must have been maddening deciding what to put out, what show to do, what location etc. It looks like they said fuggit and just went with a random selection. Nothing really amazing happens yet nothing less than above average happens either. Pure Phish. Two longish sets with two cover tunes as encores. The video quality is fair. Way above bootleg quality but not pay per view multi camera zillion dollar quality either. The sound is perfect. Fantastic 5.1 seperation, if this were released as a live DVD-Audio with no visuals people would be losing their minds. Instead they will take the audio for granted and gripe about the image. I'm totally happy, there's even nearly a half hour of bonus footage and a photo gallery! My big beef is with WEA and the fact that all of their DVDs are packed in the cheapest materials. Flimsy, paper thin snap case design with tray teeth just waiting to break off. C'mon guys, I can't imagine that a keepcase could be much more $$.

Summary: I want more
Review: This album is similar to the Live Phish CD's, and i hope that they make many more, because the 5.1 audio is amazing, but I guess they do not regulary film thier shows. The ac/dc beg is especially good

Summary: Great version of Walfredo
Review: This DVD does not deliver Phish's best show--not even one of their great shows. Yet, it delivers a significant show being the final pre-hiatus show. During a break between songs, Trey comments that the band has enjoyed nineteen years and hopes for nineteen post-hiatus years. We now know that will not happen, since Phish played their farewell concert in Coventry, Vermont at the end of their 2004 Summer Tour.

Speaking of Coventry, Phish's last song at that festival, "The Curtain With," rounds out this DVD. Other notable songs from this show are Mike's Groove, a slow instrumental snippet of Rift, a rendition of The Beatles' "A Day in the Life," and a humorous "Walfredo" with Trey on piano, Page on drums, Fish on Bass, and Mike on guitar. Perhaps the gem of this DVD is Phish's rendition of "I Didn't Know," a great a cappella Phish number that features a Jon Fishman vacuum solo.

Get this DVD if you have purchased and enjoyed the IT DVD, or if you're interested in Phish's less mainstream material.

Review: WOW!

I love this dvd. Sounds sick. I was trying to figure out why they picked this show, after watching it I understand why.

Bittersweet motel was good, but seeing a whole show has some great energy to it and thats something that bittersweet doesnt have.

Hope they release more shows. Would love to see clifford ball, merriweather 98, or perhaps some older shows come out on dvd.
